          Mr. Banana speaks:

Well, first of all I'd like to thank all the SPDGers for their support. I am very pleased to see my name always considered for a government post at all times and during every election. It is of course unfortunate that during all this time I have yet to win, especially considering all the dedication I've been giving to the teams, ever since the first SPDG. That I am always a candidate should be proof enough of my intentions to work for the best of our team, and it's about damn time I win. UnOrthO has already had the fun of being an elected official. What about me?

Now, responding to E_T's question, most people think that we should be nailing those Iroquois soon. I disagree. Why do we want to go more north? All there is north are pine forests and tundra. We need to seek jungle as Apolyton is from past experience, a jungle people. There is no fun in pine tree after pine tree and barren snowy wastelands. We need to explore, we need to conquer the jungle! Only then will the Apolyton Spirit reign free and high o'er the land!

Wow... that's pretty good for the banana. So... why didn't we ever vote for this guy before? He seems to actually know what he's talking about... I mean, snowing wastelands are indeed not the natural habitat of the Apolytonian people and the banana has more reason than most to have an aversion to tundra and an affinity to jungle.

              Ppffft!

The Banana may be a great example to look up to, but The Immortal One has one serious flaw with direct leadership - He's an abject coward in battle.

Oh you so knew this lame joke had to be told...

He's got a yellow streak. In fact there's not a single psrt of him that opposes that yellow image.

OK, I'm done. You can come back now. And stop moaning. It wasn't THAT painful.

The Banana provides a good point, but perhaps controlling the tundras will make it easier for us to attack southward later.

                  MrWIA:

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a coward, banana's can be sadistic psychopathic warmongers when they want to be. It is not unknown for us to commit suicide and leave our peels on the ground so that unsuspecting enemy soldiers fall and break their backs. If that is not sufficient sacrifice for defending what we believe in, then I don't know what is.

My first act as president will be to create the "Tomb of the Unknown Banana Peel" who sacrificed his life for his civ-nation. It will be built in the middle of the jungle so that bananas young and old, from near and afar may come and pay their respects.

Actually, just thought of a potentially fatal flaw in the banana's seemingly fullproof reasoning.

You see, a long time ago on a planet far far away a nation known as "Apolytonia" existed in a stinking jungle of a starting location and built its culture around bananas and other tropical elements.

The problem is that in THIS reality, on THIS planet, the mighty people of Apolyton are in fact the hearty Viking peoples of the cold north whose bitter ferocity will come to rule the seas! So perhaps we really should be headed toward the tundralands, as our people are likely better adapted to colder weather than our weakling foes. If we were to travel into the hot and stinking jungles of the tropical areas of our world, our people's greater vulnerability to tropical diseases would surely be our doom until the advent of more modern medical techniques, nevermind that our people would likely find the tropical climate rather uncomfortable.
