I have been struggling to come up with orders for tomorrow's turnchat. I have come up with the following orders so far.
1100BC
new Spear (in Asgard) - move N, N (into Trond)
move single Swords into Sword/Spear/Workers stack
upgrade warrior in Koben to Sword
move HungryOPD back into Lunch
move spear and wounded archer into Usku
fort archers in Usku
Odin - E, ?
Thor - NE
1075BC
Workers building road to Aydin - move S (with DM permission)
Stack with workers - move S
Sword in Koben - move W
new Spear in Koben - fortify
Hungry OPD - fortify
spear and wounded archer in Usku - fortify
new Spear in Bergen - move S, SW, W
1050BC
We can either attack Aydin now, with 3 Swords(1 reg, 2vet), or wait one turn to have 4 swords 2 reg, 2 vet)
I'm in favour of the attack this turn, but it will also depend on our diplomacy options, the size of Aydin, etc.
1025BC
?? It's just too hard to plan this far out when we're at war, and planning on making peace.
Here is a list of things I have been thinking about (am concerned about):
-The worker outside Usku, and the road between Usku and Lunch, are unprotected.
-Our iron is unprotected.
-With the exceptions of Bursa (which we won't get), and Aydin (which we plan to take), any cities we get for peace from the Ottomans would be totally undefended, unsupportable, and prime targets for culture flip.
-Aydin now shows as size 2 (was size 3 earlier). If they pop rush another unit, it will be size 1 and we'll destroy it, not capture it. With all the rival settlers in our territory, one of them might take the site, or we'll be forced to try to block them until we can get a settler of our own there.
-We don't know where the Ottoman city Konya is. Looking over the map, I see two possibilities: 1) Southwest of the Ottoman capital; 2) South of Aydin. If it is 2), we should want that city as part of the peace package.
Comments? Ideas?
