I would say that "Ancient" Joan of Arc is actually wearing combat fatigues, making her modern. I could be wrong of course, but that's how I see it.

It looks to me like she's wearing a fur shirt and helmet with horns in it - that's why I put her in ancient.

i think the current picture of the japanese leader, Tokugawa should be in the renaisence place instead of the ancient one because of the image below which shows the Indian, English and French leaders in the renaissance era and the Japanese leader which i guess would also be in the renaissance era. i guess it is possible for them to be in different era's but prob not for this screenshot or if that doesn't work use this link

              Alexander...

Ok, the very conspicuous absense of Alexander from everything since the Civ of the week has me VERY curious. We have only one pic of him, and more for everyone else. Perhaps the Civ team is changing him. I know a LOT of folks complained, and the pictures posted here seem to show several of the leaders (Gandhi, for example) have changed a great deal since their initian incarnations. So tell us Firaxis, will we see a new Alexander?

Hmmm, this is intriguing. The first person to get these to me will gain my adoration. Or something like that.

There are a LOT of faces at the CivFanatics Ad Gallery ( http://www.civfanatics.com/civ3ads.shtml ). Look, I found an angry Hammurabi!

Ok, I replaced some images with clearer ones from the civ3 fansite kit - Hammurabi, Xerxes, Gandhi, Monty. Also, it includes an image of Alexander that looks the same as he did before he mysteriously vanished.

EDIT: Name changed. I first took him for Hamurabi

It is taken from the Making of Civ3 video.

No problem - a little color and contrast balancing, and voila!

                                Thanks for the pic
