Hannibal, the great Phoenician general, will sorely miss his nation in Civilization 3. Since Carthaginians are out, only Indians would get Elephants, then.

I know that it's every Friday. I was wondering what exact time in the day Firaxis was going to update the Civ of the Week. Usually I am at school when the update takes place, so when I get home to see the update I am not aware of the approximate time the update takes place. However, today I was home sick and was waiting for the update to occur. I figured the update would take place earlier than what it did and I thought maybe the update occured on a regular time on Fridays. Therefore, I was wondering when the Civ of the Week update would take place.Every friday.
However, it is difficult to believe that 2 times 2 does not equal 4; does that make it true? On the other hand, is it really so difficult simply to accept everything that one has been brought up on and that has gradually struck deep roots – what is considered truth in the circle of moreover, really comforts and elevates man? Is that more difficult than to strike new paths, fighting the habitual, experiencing the insecurity of independence and the frequent wavering of one’s feelings and even one’s conscience, proceeding often without any consolation, but ever with the eternal goal of the true, the beautiful, and the good? - F.N.

It normally gets updated between 2-4pm Central Standard Time. I think that's between 1-3pm in Arizona.Ex Fide Vive
Try my new mod and tell me what you think. I will be revising it per suggestions. Nine Governments Mod

Somebody please buy Firaxis a book that contains pictures of famous leader through history! That is not Ghandi. Lincoln looks like Gen. Thade for christsakes! Alexander is having a really bad hair day. Animated leader may be nice or whatever (to me they just look like a pain in the ass complication for scenario makers), but maybe its time to reconsider photos. Looks like another mod job . . .

It seems to me that Harlan and other realists influenced Dan...
This one was totally serious update...
good or bad?
Socrates: "Good is That at which all things aim, If one knows what the good is, one will always do what is good." Brian: "Romanes eunt domus"
GW 2013: "and juistin bieber is gay with me and we have 10 kids we live in u.s.a in the white house with obama"

"The elephant's tactical importance apparently stemmed in large part from its willingness to charge both men and horses and from the panic that it inspired in horses. Although generally impractical as mounts due to their slow speed, (certainly not as fast as horses), the mere mental impact of seeing such massive beasts included in the advancing enemy ranks could provide an attacker with the element of surprise. "In many ways, Elephants were the tanks of the ancient era: massive, hard to kill, (????) and incredibly dangerous
Unfortunately they also proved to be very susceptible to ham-stringing by ground forces and so did not long remain as an effective weapon on the battlefield.
I would question a defense rating of "3" for War elephants.
(compare with Civ II - 4/1/2 ).
