I don´t know if this has already been confirmed (perhaps this thread is only then ), but it seems that the "Civ Of The Week" appears in chronological order - that could mean the Romans are the next?

I had the impression that the Zulu Impi was an improved warrior, so immediately available. The sequence of civilizations is much more base don marketing interests, so start with civilizations on which the current western civilization is build. The exotics will only come after at least half of the western historical civs are handled.

I am under the impression that the civ of the week is coiming in about the order of their golden ages. So that would mean either the Zulus, Persians, or Aztecs are probably coming up. Just based on where their unique unit would fall on the tech tree. Just a guess though.About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. Well, if the Golden Age is what decides, that surely Aztecs or Zulus will NOT come next.
BTW, I don't know where many people get the impression that Aztecs were an ancient civ, from. Their pyramids were built in early middle ages in Europe. And the Aztec Empire reached its peak very shortly before Cortez arrived and toppled it.
And, for Zulus, their (very brief) moment of glory occured in 19th century, but they were destroyed by British very soon. The problem with leadership is inevitably: Who will play God?

If they appear in chronological order, then the Persians, the Greeks' nemesis, ought to be the next civ of the week.
The theory that they come in chronological order makes sense to me:
1 Babs
2 Egypt
3 Greeks
4 Persians
5 Romans
6 Chinese
7 Japanese
8 Indians
9-12 the Euro civs (I'm not so sure about the order)
13 Aztecs
14 Iroquois
15 Americans
16 Zulus
I *could* be wrong though.CSPA

But in the game the golden age is going to be decided by your first win with your unique unit. And the Aztecs and Zulus both have primitive technology in their civs and have primitive unique units. Primitive techs are researched early in the game and so you will quickly be able to arrive at your golden age.
The Zulus is an improved spearman or warrior and becomes an Impi. If it is a warrior than it is available from the beginning of the game or a spearman simply means the advent of bronze. Either way an early Unique Unit and an early Golden Age in the game.
Meanwhile, the Aztecs are not the most advanced civ ever either. Sure their civ arose during Europe's Middle Ages but they themselves were still in the Bronze Age. Again meaning an early golden age in the game.
Remember Golden Ages = Unique Unit win not when golden age happened in history.
So, yes if golden age is the order they are going in then the Aztecs and Zulus will have to be soon.About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. With a simple click daily at the Hunger Site you can provide food for those who need it.

Because then the Persians (I completely forgot that they are in the game) had to be before the Greeks, or? However...
I am just not sure why you all think the Romans next. If you think Firaxis is just choosing most popular civs one after another why not have French, US, English, or German already? There are people in those countries that will be buying the game, meanwhile I don't expect that many in Metsopatamia or Egypt to be purchasing the game.
It appears to me they are going in the order based on Golden Age.About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. With a simple click daily at the Hunger Site you can provide food for those who need it.
