AU 601: Pick the civs (ignore the other thread)

Please make your choice of human civs based on what you think would be a fair matchup for this PBEM game.

Remember, human players will play under the restriction that they cannot attack any city founded by the AI. The map will be a standard pangaea, with human players starting on opposite ends of it.

I voted 'Other', my suggestion being Egypt vs Byzantine.

Cheap culture & happiness with quick infrastructure vs tech superiority and early AI contacts.

The chance of an early GA with the War Chariot matches the disadvantage of the Dromon on Pangea.

Militaristic civs don’t appeal to me because they don’t get as much benefit from that trait in a game where you can’t take AI cities as you would with other traits.

It’s a futile vote I know, at this stage it looks like Greece Rome is going to take it.

I still think Zulu versus Mongols would make for an interesting game. Everyone wants to stay away from the "too powerful" Agricultural for this game, but no one seems to want to go so low as Exp/Mil! It's true the Zulus would have an advantage, but would it really be that major? Cheap, Knight-replacement UUs do not suck...

I still want to annoy people and make them play with Korea and Greece...Same traits forces other tactics, such as abusing the AIs, and making use of the available land...

It seems to me that with the prohibition of attacking the AI's cities that the militarist trait is not very valuable. So I am surprised that people want Greece and Rome. In that match up do people want Rome, or is everybody like me and assuming they are Greece?
