Is this what you're doing in game #5, or has everyone stopped reporting turns entirely?

I played 2950 BC 2 days ago. The game has progressed at roughly ~4.18 saves per day (just over 24 hours per player).

So yeah, it's slow, but it's actually moving. That's better than some of the other PBEMs I'm in, though significantly worse than my best PBEMs (which typically move at a nice clip of 2 days per turn).

As for what is HAPPENING, I'm coy to talk about that because not all civs have contact with each other yet.

Just looked through this, and was horrified to see that many of the ones I thought I had deade cert were actually completely wrong. For example I thought the retreat rate for all units that could was 50%. I had no idea there was an experience factor as well.

I distinctly remember in alexman's old corruption thread the reduction for connecting to your road network is 10%, but I have no idea what happened starting with all those C3C changes. Bugger.

Back to the ROOTS of addiction. My first missed poll!

Well, I initially promised not to report the scores. Some people may have submitted their answers under that condition.

I remember being quite vocal against that version...

P.S: Arnelos, thanks for all your posts here, they're very interesting (if only all "teachers" could get such good feedback from their students!).

You mean, everyone worked out the correct answer, or you scored everybody corectly because the question was wrongly phrased?

I thought question 22 was pretty tough. Even if you knew the ratio at which shields converts to wealth, you'd have to be pretty observant to know whether it rounds up or down.

It amounts to the same thing, right?

Another way to get to 275% defence bonus in question 33 is:

                        Metropolis 100%
                        Civil Defence 50%
                        Hill 50%
                        Fortified 25%
                        Radar Tower 25%
                        River 25%

                        .....I tihnk!

And I thought it was the Military Academy that increase the power of Armies....the Pentagon contributes to the increase by allowing an extra unit to be added, which changes the total defence factor in the formula.

Well, not really.....as I said above, I'm sure quite a few people were able to work out that "cancel" and "skip turn" mean the same thing, and so got the intended anwser.....and I think that was Rommel's point too.

Yes, you get the same value if you put the Mech. Inf. Army inside a city instead of outside on a Mountains tile. I was too lazy to write it out (uh, I mean, I left this as an exercise to the reader!).

Yes, I suppose you need both the Pentagon and the Military Academy...

In a multiple choice quiz, if none of the answers as written is the right one, the question is invalid and so cannot count for marks. It's not fair to trick the question by requiring people to PM me the right answer because there's none available. Who knows how many would have got it right had the correct answer "Skip Turn" been among the options?
