    1000BC

    AU Mod, Emperor

Still focused on early pillaging… another one bites the dust, as the Hittite capitol gets cut off. I’m now starting to get worried about the Mongols (5 cities to my 2!), so split of one CS to go aid the Scout in scoping them out.

Your turn, you ugly b*stard!! I position myself to mess with Mongols… When I do, I fend off two Warriors, and kick off my GA.

This is how far I got smackin’ around the Mongols (for the first time )… I was bummed, as in a point of personal pride, I wanted to pillage every one of their tiles!

But, as many others faced, the enemy was close to knocking on our door in the north, and I had to sue for peace. The good news, however: I hadn’t lost a unit, I was again nearly at tech parity, my GA had gotten me to Math first, only 11 turns from the Colossus, and enough gold to establish embassies. J But still (HORRORS!), only two cities… and I didn’t have the guts, as some did, to take a shot at capturing / razing a Mongol city. L

Math is a great choice, btw (with the AU Mod, at least). The AI does not prioritize it, but values it highly… I got to total parity with it, including Philosophy!

As of 1000BC, I was still pillaging Viking lands (something strangely satisfying about that ), was more or less at tech parity, and I had recently completed the SoZ, but still had only two towns… missed the Colossus, too, which p*ssed me off. The slow tech pace on our continent was starting to worry me.

But Ancient Cavs are one the way!!

Very entertaining DAR Theseus. Thanks for taking the time to post them.

And since I'm in a linking kind of mood tonight:
              Everyone else's DAR 2
(found from the topped AU history 101 thread)

                Sorry...

/me retreats to the corner with my dunce hat again.

Is there any way (mods included) that we can fix this properly?

A mod could merge the threads.

Can someone ask them to do so? It's not really all that important, but it'd make things 'clean'.
