360 AD: Cut off Carthage from her iron. Enlisted Egypt into an MA for 7gpt (cheap!!). I am now significantly behind in techs (5?), but hope that my strategy of pangaeic disruption pays off.

Still hoping for the Babs to attack... anybody have ideas? (this is a technical question, and thus should be OK to answer)

Nathan built a camp here... I can't think of why.

Not sure where barbs could come from. Your mini map makes it look like the land around you is settled and no place for a barb camp.

Germanics enlisted against Carthage, at a cost of 10gpt.

Excellent... Babs would not leave my territory, and declared war. I just killed 3 Bowmen, and will secure this corner of the empire forwith.

Grrr... lost both of the Hoplites in Carthage's territory. They did their part, however.

They did their part, those valiant soldiers... Grogeus and, uh, the other guy. Really groggish guy.

S'ok. More importantly, the Babs did in fact attack, and once I have secured that corner I will have an extra 8 or so Swords (soon to be upgraded to MedInfs) ready to re-task to the NE and S.

I would presume its either a military camp to start pumping out those legionaries or will eventually become a worker pump.

As for the Babs, they are just falling right for the trap you had laid for them, excellent play!

Did Grogeus take out the Iron before his glorious death?

Yes, Grogeus gave his life to pillage the iron. The other guy (who was sort of dim) was very hungry at that point, and tried to eat a piece of iron, thus chipping a tooth, got an infection, and died a horrible bloated death. We can only hope that his putrid body poisons the general area water supply.

This turned out to be a nice little killing ground... the Babs say goodbye to 5-6 ACs:
