The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.

Maybe when we get to play a Deity scenario UP will be a more lofty goal. But I'm quite sure that 90% of the players here have no trouble reaching UP on Monarch (and on this map).

And her eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming...
I would love to have a Deity game of this nature. Perhaps we could put a regular deity winner on each team and see what the secret is even if we end up only playing their saves

I was thinking of the possibility of a monarch game, an emperor game, and a deity game for the next AUSG, but that would have a bit of logistics to work out such as what to shoot for in each game.
And I'll try to design a "slightly" more challenging scenario next time.
I think we should go ahead and extend the turn block due date back to Tuesday like it was for the first turn block. Hopefully that will give the people who haven't played their turn blocks yet the time to finish them up before we start on the discussion period.
Well, I'd like for everyone to have the opportunity to play it and apparently a lot of people have had busy weekends (which I understand since I had one too ). If we stopped it tonight there wouldn't even be any discussion in the opportunist team since only one member has submitted his turn block so far. So yeah, I'd like to increase the deadline by one more day.
Tuesday is good. I think I'll still play my turns tonight, but I like the idea, in general, of having 2 days after the weekend to get my turns done, since I'm often away on the weekends.
When I was first thinking about reducing the deadline, I wasn't thinking about the fact that a lot of people are busy on weekends. I was just thinking of "more time for discussion period" But actually the two days we had for discussion worked pretty well last week so I'll try to leave it like this in the future.
For the record...all saves will be due 23:59pm EDT (or whatever the last minute is on the U.S. east coast) Tuesday night, just like it was the first week.

That was part of the original discussion... remember? Dominae, I think, suggested that the higher difficulty level players judge the game just below them. Uh, I forget what the answer was for Deity level games.
The greatest delight for man is to inflict defeat on his enemies, to drive them before him, to see those dear to them with their faces bathed in tears, to bestride their horses, to crush in his arms their daughters and wives.

I don't mind it, but if we play 3/4 scenarii (Domination, Space race, Culture, ...) at each level, that makes a lot of threads to read, check and comment. Are you (and us) up to it?
Then, we could find ourselves, for a given scenario, with 8 players on Monarch, 3 on Emperor and 1 on Deity

Are we rotating the judging? Opportunists judged SS last time, right? So if we're rotating, we would judge Domination this time?

Yes. I'll make sure to post later on which team will be judging which, but essentially you're each judging the "other" team this week.
