Release 1.2 with schematic and the ability to save a .hut file so that you don't have to cross them all out again is near - probably tomorrow ...

The d/l count is slowly going up, but no-one posts - is this the current Secret Weapon of MP?

I used it last weekend, but as war says, you don't want to slow down play, so my use of it was quite limited.

Actually it's best use is around 1500 bc and you find a decent sized virgin area and it's been awhile since you found a hut so you've kinda lost the sense of the pattern. You can march straight to potential locations.
And It's late enough in the game that the turns are starting to take longer so you have plenty of time in between turns to check it out. (except for duals sometimes).

In the last few duels I've played with War4ever... we kind of agreed not to use it. It does add some time... In a four person game, I do it to keep from getting bored waiting for my turn

Minor criticism: I'd like to see more, smaller, squares on the schematic drawing. Ideally, all the huts in the text list would be shown on the graphical representation.

DaveV - so would I, but when one has to hand draw some 102 controls to get the present result, the prospect of another 400 or so is a tad daunting. It would definitely require run-time positioning, there is no way I would hand craft at that size (I'm fairly gobsmacked that I persevered with 100 and odd). However, I justify myself that my current schematic is not toooo far removed from the scope of the civ map window. Perhaps at release 1.3.
Thanks for the feedback though - all criticism gratefully received.
Release 1.2.1 - fixing a few small things that I hope you guys never notice will arrive shortly.

                        SG[1],

I'm still catching up at Apolyton and just discovered your program. It's great!

It will be useful all the time, but what I will most appreciate is identifying the location of hidden specials. I hate wasting the settler time and not finding a special.

                        Thanks very much.

As long as people don't slow up play in MP by using it... fine by me. We know it already, this just makes it easier to see... Keep up the good work and keep updating it

                              SG,

Thanks for an excellent program, as I found it to be very valuable in my latest early landing game.

However, I think the Carthaginians also downloaded a copy, because by the time I explored their area, they had tipped all but one of the nearby huts! I was looking forward to finding them first.
