  • Scenario Creation?

This may be a stupid question, but....

How do you create scenarios? I know how to create maps, I know how to create the little graphics, but how do you get everything in place? I want it to be a Sovietskii Soyuz versus the USA, India, and China. But I dont want them to start out in the Ancient Era, I want the Soviet Union to be modern while everyone else is industrial.

    How do I accomplish that?

I am no expert - you might try the Scenario League ( http://sleague.apolyton.net ) for them, but you can get most of this done with the Scenario Editor that comes with all versions of Civ2 after v2.42

Tassadar: You'll need to togle Cheat Mode on (through the cheat menu). Then play with the features available through the menu. IIRC the manual (at least for MGE) has an overview of what you can do with the cheat menu.

Definitely check out the Scenario League's website and their forum here on Apolyton.

Once you have the cheat menu on, one of the options is "Save as scenario".

You use whatever features you want in the cheat menu (terrain editing, unit creation, tech advances, etc.). Then you save it as a scenario.

This works in both Civ2 2.42 and MGE.

Also, don't expect a wonderful creation on your first try. Start with a simple idea, get used to the various things you can edit, then move on to a real scenario project. Good luck!
