    Can anybody tell me what's the smallest map allowed?

    X times Y must be no less than 1000, and the minimum for each co-ordinate is 20. This is explained at the start of the game in the map size window when you choose a custom size!

      It would be interesting to try an OCC game on the smallest map with, let's say 3 civs.

        28X36 is about the smallest you can get, with 1008 squares.

          With 7 civs, you can probably eliminate several while looking for a good OCC site, before they complete their first warrior...

            On a map that small, even if you select 7 civs, you won't get them. My guess is that you'd end up with no more than 4.

              I play on a micro map(25x40) many times. If you have not done so, try it. You will get some very ugly mountain terrain. If you try a purple civ, you often get an arctic start.

                ugggg...i like purple and i can vouch geofelt here...in too many tiny map games i have been relegated to the poles
