  • Research planner (reference)

Sorry, this is a spam :-)

One week ago, I noticed that many people were not able to find "Civ2-General/Help/Community: Info: diplomats and spies" thread, because they monitor Civ2/Strategy forum only.

It's a reason why I am posting this announcement.

The program of Civ II always hides some advances, although they have both prerequisites discovered yet. I made a simple program named "Research planner" that reveals which advances will be hidden and let you to plan scientific research ahead.

Is your system different from oedo's unfinished?
I have studied neither of them in detail up to now, but it seems to me that both of them are close to the truth in the early game.
I have a feeling though that there is probably at least one more filter appearing in the mid game (how could I explain that the number of techs offered is reduced suddenly from 10 or 12 to 2 or 3, as it happens to me now and then?).

      Yes, both systems are identical.

Run "research planner" beside the game. If you will press F5 (it switch to full mode) you will see the reason why techs are reduced in the middle game. I believe planner works in all cases exactly.
