  • Someone please help!!!

I was recently unzipping a Trojan War scenario, when I accidently saved it in the Civ2 section of my computer. This overwrote the event.txt with the event.txt from the scenario.

So I loaded one of my saved games and a message popped up saying that an error had occured in the event.txt. Now all of my cities look like those from the scenario. And all of my new cities are called Thermopylae unless I change it.

So I figure that I'll just copy the corrupt files to a disk just in case, delete the leftovers on the computer, and reinstall. but now for some reason the computer can't reinstall the WWII scenario.

How in the world am I supposed to get my normal Civ2 back? Do I have to rewrite the whole event.txt? Would anyone know what to do? Can i even get a copy of the event text? What do I do?

Your best bet is to just delete everything... and reinstall CivII plus patches from scratch. And then reload the wwII scenaro in a different folder
    Keep on Civin'

Yes, do what Ming said. But do you really need the WW2 scenario?
