Is it possible that they won't divide while they're a democracy? Tell me, has anyone caused civil war in a democracy before?

    PLEASE HELP

This has only happened for me once. The French (me) split the Romans into two! The year was around 1500 BC. I was so happy. They attacked me first and in the next turn a few breaks went my way. I guess they had no idea that I so many chariots and catapults near their capital. If I remember right, they were a Monarchy.

There are three conditions that have to be met. The civilization to be split must have:

        1. a civilization of the same color that has not previously been in the game.
        2. more than four cities (five or more).
        3. been larger than your civilization.

When the split does not occur, it's usually because of a miscalculation of size. I've been disappointed several times when I was sure the other civilization was larger than me, and it wasn't.

rarely happens to me. It happened when I played the battle of the sexes scenario which I believe was on the conflicts of civilization disc. It was the only way I can win. The females were tearing my howies apart . So I just went for their capitol and bam it was all over.
