    Hi all,

    I was wondering if anyone out there knew what determines what "knowledge" a player starts with?

    Sometimes I start with just mining and roads...other times i get a couple other bonus technologies...

    Just curious..


    While there might be a physics engine that applies to the jugs, I doubt that an entire engine was written specifically for the funbags. - Cyclotron - debating the pressing issue of boobies in games.

    The following things determine how much tech you get.

    1. If you are close to another civ. The closer you are, the more tech you get.
    2. If you are on a small island, you get tech.
    3. If you get bad land like deserts or swamps, that also will get you more tech.

      however this isn't written in stone but a very good basis to go one...... seems as if nothing is guarranteed in this game except exceptions to the rule
