Hello addicted Civers!
This is my first post on this forum, but I've been visiting Apolyton for quite some time.
First, I'd like to share a very annoying and strange moment of Civ-playing with you. My forever enemies, the Mongols, were almost finished with their spaceship while mine wasn't even started, (only cowards build spacehips to win). Anyway, I decided to nuke their capital, (Karakorum), and then I marched in with my ground troops. Pheew! I thought, their spaceship is destroyed. WRONG! An ugly dialog box appeared: "Mongol government escaped to Ormuz". Plus their spacehip wasn't destroyed!
Has this ever happened to you??? How can I prevent it from happening again? Has it got anything to do with the Mongols having a fundamentalist government or me using Nuclear Missiles?
2nd question:
In the original Civilization you could "split" a rival civilization's empire by marching in to their capital. Is this possible in Civ II? Can you "split" empires in any other way?
Thank you for helping me out in this hard situation!
