Blowing up spaceships

I thought I read somewhere that you could blow up your rival civ's spaceship by nuking the capitol of their country. I tried it but they still appear to be building it. How do you destroy the ship? Also how do you send in a spy with a nuke in a suitcase to blow it up? What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

You have to take the enemy capital to cripple their ship, not just nuke it. And the spy with the suitcase comes as soon as you get espionage and nuclear power (I think, not sure about the tech, but I'm quite sure about the spaceship thing)

Taking their capitol often isn't enough. When they have more than 1000 gold they transfer the capitol to another city, and if you take that they transfer again and again and again... So you have to keep going until their cash is below 1000 gold.

A spy cannot plant a nuke until robotics and the manhattan is built .... trust me i did it last night in an MP game muhahhahahahaaahahaaha

Don't most MP games end before cannons? I've only hit MP like 3 or 4 times. I usually stay away because people will just leave on you and the whole game is ruined. I'm assuming you played with good friends and on several occasions?

FMK..... i played with the best Group i have ever played with..... by group i mean four of us all very tough competitors with skill and savvy and would gladly invite any of them in any game i play......

Yeah you must take over the Capital--this is hard to do. Or you can nuke it and starve it the death.
