Let us hope you didn't destroy your sister's marriage, GP

Perhaps by the time you get SOL you don't need it.
If you are a in fundi, you can have city's turning out a caravan every 2 turns. (1 if rushed)

If you can trade for 100 gold, you also get 100 beakers and buy a new caravan.

Tech every 2 turns is realy not that hard in fundi.

I suppose they're too busy feeding their addictions to hang around here, hmmm? Or have you wickedly withheld the light of Apolyton from them?

They each have a laptop for work and a common PC at home.

They don't seem to interested in coming to Poly. Just as well. I'm already in trouble for the Civ addiction.

Actually no he has his own "BUG"

He loves his Mac's and graphics....I guess thats why he pays the bills as a graphic designer. So he just works and plays on his Mac. I know they have a Mac ver of CivII but he never seemed that interested. Oh well he'll never know what he is missing.

I tried to get my brothers to play MGE with me. Party poopers wouldn't do it. One is a Civ addict; plays more than I do probably 'cos he doesn't spend time here. He seems to like CTP2… can't talk him into MP with that either.

                      I feel rejected.

Take that back or I'll… I'll… Humph!

No, one brother has something they call a "life" and the the other plays too many games. He played Civ3 for a while, but I got the impression that he didn't take to it. I'm sure he's got HoMM IV and spending too much time playing that now. What else do computer geeks spend their money on?

I often use incremental rush-buying early in the game, when Wonder competition is high. But it's so tedious.
                            Here's how I do it:
                            • At the end of my turn, I press F1 to bring up the city list.
I click every caravan that isn't at the "end of row" shield number. That opens the city window.
I change the caravan to whatever the appropriate unit is.
I click on "Buy" and "OK"
I change the unit back to caravan.

Is there any faster way to do it?

Using keyboard is faster. hit 'c' to get to the unit selection screen (it does not work for your first city so you have to use mouse for once). 'w' can change to warrior, 'p' can change to palace or phalanx so you may need to hit twice, but once you get the pattern you just hit the letter then 'b' to buy. So the whole sequence is 'cwbcpbcdbcsbccb', for warrior, phalanx, diplo, settler and caravan. Of course in different phase of the game you need to change the sequence, and if you have already accrued some shields you need to start from the middle of the sequence.

Thanks, that should be a lot faster.

I did try keyboard shortcuts once and it didn't work. Maybe I was doing something wrong. I'll try your suggestion; it sounds better than all the mousing.
