  • Which civ is most likely to pick Fundie as thier govt?

I need to know to find out which AI "personality" I should give to a civ in an upcomming scenario.
The most logical answer would probably be:
The most agressive AI, but I am not sure about that as I just tried to make an agressive millitary Expansionist (as it says in the foreign ministers report ) and when faced whit the choise of Fundie or Republic, it picked Republic!!!

So therefore do anyone know of civ that usualy will pick fundamentalism?

I am asking in the strategy forum since the people here are much better at the game mechanichs than the people at Sleague.

Your thinking was correct. The more aggressive/militaristic leaders are more likely to choose fundy. However, the AI must be in a position of being "threatened" (whatever that means in terms of programming), and it must be trying to support a lot of units relative to the number of cities. Otherwise, the AI goes for more growth, the same as the initial choices for citizen placement in your own cities. I haven't noticed that the AI chooses commie or fundy unless it is at war or headed there.

      Hmm...
I am going to make the fundamentalist government support 0 free units, making the civ using it rely totaly on Fanatics (which ofcourse has been renamed).

If the civ is short on cash, will that affect its desision?

I always noticed that the yellow civs went for fundie more often than any other colour, especially the Aztecs.

Henrik, although the manual/Civilopedia says that fanatics are support-free under fundamentalism, I believe you will find that fundie actually provides ten units free support, with fanatics counting the same as any other unit.

debeest - it's quite a bit more complicated than that, but the magic number is eight, not ten. See this thread for more information.

Good lord. These people must have been on some serious medications....

I think the last time I used fundamentalism must have been before I had the 2.42 patch, when ten was the correct number. Simple observation in the course of natural gameplay certainly didn't reveal the underlying silliness that you discovered, DaveV. As someone else noted, 8 is plenty, and there's really no need to pay anu support at all under fundie.
