  • Fluctuations in sustained trade bonuses

    Hi everyone,

I've been coming to this forum for a couple of years now,
but just registered yesterday. You've all been instrumental
in helping me become a better player. Thanks!

Now to the heart of the issue. This may be old news to everyone,
but I just noticed it the other day: I already had some trade
routes set up and was trying out the strategy of setting a city's
workers to maximize trade for the turn that one of it's caravans
was going to reach its destination. I noticed that as I increased
the amount of trade arrows the workers were harvesting, the
number of trade bonus arrows in the city increased too! (from
0 to 1 and from 2 to 3 or something like that) Apparently the
sustained trade bonus changes in proportion with the base
number of arrows the city is getting. Is this news to anyone?

    sorry for the lengthy post

    Welcome Al (you lurker )

Yep, it is old news -- although as far as we know the exact formula for both the initial bonus and the on-going trade arrows have not yet yielded to our various analysts - it is generally agreed (I think) that their is an element of proportionality to the number of raw (before trade) arrows from each of the participating cities --

So we beat you to this one - keep the ideas coming - we all need all the help we can get ...
