Emperor Jacques Eglise Declares War on Unholy Spain-Italy Alliance

Following the penetration of French borders by Italian artillery, the Emperor has declared war against Italy, Spain and Portugal, pointing to evidence that the three brutal regimes are in league with one another.
In an astonishingly quick and relatively bloodless move, French forces secured the Spanish colony of the Phillipines. Upon their capture, the Emperor congratulated the brave men of the French Army.

In other news, the Colonial Ministry announced that 2 African tribes had been brought into the French sphere of influence.

The White House today issued a release condemning the aggression of the yellow Spaniards, dastardly allying with Italy and Portugal to attempt to destroy France.

However, President Roosevelt also declared that the US would henceforth step forward to free the Spanish colonies of Cuba and Puerto Rico, Spain's remaining American colonies and oppressed beyond belief. The US will not need any aid, and is quite capable of liberating these tired peoples by bringing and preserving democracy. However, the US will not tolerate the spreading of this war to other nations of Latin America.

In other news, the US has been asked to establish a protectorate over the Kingdom of Hawaii, and the first troops are scheduled to land there this month.

The citizens of Panama, too long forcibly restrained into the "Republic" of New Grenada, have asked for, and shall receive, full US aid in their struggle.

Steamers full of cheap and reliable US goods are ready to flood the markets of Europe and Asia.

L'Empereur Jacques Eglise declares end to Second Empire, promises transition to Third Republic.

French forces which landed in Portugal have heroically managed to liberate the country from her oppressors. After easily turning back an assault from the capital of Lisbon, French cannons pounded away at the lightly defended city and infantry were able to take the city with relatively little cost for the French.

An Italian assault is expected soon on the port city of Marseilles, however citizens are not alarmed, as they trust their gallant French army to protect them at any cost. Nonetheless, reinforcements have been sent from Paris, but they got sidetracked while travelling through the wine country.

If Russia wishes to take France up on her offer, get back to her via private channels, and it should be possible to do during Russia's turn.

And has Germany considered France's recent offer?
