Germany advances further!

(1) Eastern Front

Army Group South - After days of fierce and bloody street-to-street fighting German forces were able to occupy the city of Rostov, the "Gate of the Caucasus". The Soviet losses are enormous and the Führer congratulated the commanding officer of the 4th Panzer Army, Generaloberst von Hoth to "... these brilliant operations conquering one of the most important cities of this war".

Army Group Center - This month also saw the occupation of the city of Voronez with far fewer combat than the attack of Rostov. Now Moscow´s southern defenses were deeply penetrated by the victorious Wehrmacht .... All in all neither the Red Army nor the Soviet Tanks are a match for the superior German Wehrmacht.

Army Group North - The Soviet Offensive against Novogrod has not been too dangerous. A German counter-offensive banned this threat. Additional to heavy losses on the battlefields the enemy has also lost a cruiser off the coast of Narvik and a Battleship off Leningrad.

(2) Mediterranean Sea

One Battleship, a cruiser and an Aircraft Carrier were sunk near Sicily. Also the last defenders of La Valetta were annihilated. German SPecial Forces are supposed to take the island of Malta in February. Also the rest of the Western Mediterranean Sea has been cleaned from the remnants of the once mighty Royal Navy.

(3) Northern Africa

The German Afrika Korps led by General Rommel began their advance towards Alexandria. Though supplies are low at the moment everybody at the OKW is expecting the situation to become better once Malta is in German hands ....

(4) Atlantic

Nothing to report but the destruction of a US Bomber.

A Super Battleship was destroyed near Midway and other naval vessels were destroyed throughout the Pacific and the Atlantic.

-2 German bombers near Malta shot down by the Royal Airforce.
-Bergen captured by British Marines.

Asian Front:

-Japanese forces near Port Moresby destroyed by British forces stationed in the city. The Royal Airforce enjoyed total air superiority.

Naval Battles:

-2 Jap subs and 1 Destroyer sunk west of Kuala Lumpur and Palembang.
-Naval bombardment by the Royal Navy against land targets near Brest and Cherbourg.

The Russian Troops have made an outstanding victory against some German troops in the area.

Middle Front

Here comes the great part!!
Germany losses were higher than expected!!
Several Russian troops has gained the Red Star for the outstanding results that was made in the front!

And the General who defend the city is promoted to Field Marshal!

Southern Front

2 T-34 divsions had too a great day!
The Divisions were under Field Marshal Klesh, but there is one sad thing that happened.. Our Great FM Klesh was killed during the battle ( )
Stalin held a speech : "Our brothers in arms has lost one great soldier today, he will be always remebered as a brave and great Field Marshal. I Hereby proclaim Klesh as an National Hero and give him his second Red Star!"

Sick and tired of the Soviet counter-attacks the Führer today ordered that Moscow should be taken next. Despite the harsh Russian winter the Wehrmacht will widen their breakthrough in the Northern Ukraine. If the tanks succeed in pushing further East, then victory will follow.
