the preworked set is a crafty technique, say i was mining a hill with wine, a barb shows up, i decide my warrior can't hold out so i build the instant fort....cheat...no , i switched jobs....
its like being able to still build HG once its built and then switching your shields to pyramids.....and noone complains about that...
even the boat isn't a real cheat, so its parked in the water, go up and sink the mother****er and
personally i dont' use the boat one though as it has been ruled a cheat by our group.....
realistically, you should lose half your shields anytime you change production....from set to legion, from temple to coastal fortress, from caravan to diplomat, etc etc..Boston Red Sox are 2004 World Series Champions!

The typical jab here seems to be that anything that's played out of the 2x1x or 1x1x setting is "non-strategic," "tasteless," and "not-worth-our-time," and any civ players who float here from the zone are immediately looked on with suspicion.
This is totally elitist and closed-minded, not to mention without cause. The way apolytoners are looked on by the others should shed some light on what they really are: A chest thumping, closed-minded, elitist bunch who believe themselves to be the hot shots in every aspect of the game, its settings, and anything else that is even remotely related to the game. It's no wonder that the regulars here have amassed deity levels for posting 100's of replies. The place is kind of like cheers for them. This is a place where everybody knows your name, and in this little world, people glow in self-importance. Sad. Sad.
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..
Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

sadly its true, myself, Slowwhand, boann and many others have encountered nothing but suspicion and mistrust. we find ourselves ostracized from the community here for not only being from the zone, but for our frequent play on 2x2x while in gameleague. it's a good thing that our participation in tribes hasn't been discovered, or Ming would probably ban us outright.... oops....
There are reasons for our mistrust......Sloww has that beard, and Boann is the mother of he who shall not be named. As for you, well you just are a bad egg all round.
/me tries to hide evidence of CW's extensive and useful efforts at presenting Rah rules.

Just trying to figure out who he's trying to impress today. Based on experience, I'd have to say himselfIt's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Why has our barbaric red guy joined the Civ2 Succession Game Group and not posted on Civ2/General?
