    Dictator MGE PBEM

    Since they have added an updated MGE version at CfC I'd like to start a PBEM. I'll play the *land of the free*.

      Just so you guys know, a game of this started at CFC as well (here), so in case there isn't enough interest for two games you could just join that one.

                    I have never played a PBEM game before but i would like to have a try.Could i join?

                    Japan or Germany.

                    Can you explain that Ctrl-N thing?

                      Pap's taken Germany so I guess you've got Japan.

                      The Ctrl + N think is quite simple:
                      make sure you tick the option "pause at end of turn", then when you've finished your turn activate a unit you haven't moved like a fortified unit and press Ctrl + n
                      this sets the movement of all your units to 0 so that the A.I. doesn't move them around before the next persons go.

                        Ok. Got it. I always play with "pause at end of turn" on, so it is fairly easy to get used to it.

                        But there seems to be a slight problem. I downloaded the version at Civfanatics(from that thread Darius871 mentions) but an error mesage appears everytime i try to begin the scen. From what i saw in the Game.txt it is a ToT version. I replaced the Game.txt with that of the normal game but doesn't seem to work. I have the Civ2 Ultimate Classic Collection, which includes fantastic worlds and conflicts in civilization. Is there some sort of incompatability?

                          Ah, this scenario is for the Multiplayer Gold Edition (mge) so you will need that version to play it, and anyhow you need mge to play multiplayer! (even PBEM) so you will need to download the "patch" to upgrade to mge:
