This week British fortunes seem to have turned for the better:
- Almost all of the Argentine planes that counterattacked near San Carlos have been shot out of the sky by our reserve harriers pulled from sea escort duty. Furthermore, the two enemy squadrons that remain are so heavily damaged that they are useless for at least several turns.
- Carrier Hermes was also able to recover and refuel all of the planes involved in the San Carlos air battles so that they can all fly sorties in the next week.
- San Carlos is now virtually impregnable with a huge garrison.
- Troop landings at Port Howard were a complete success, and the city is firmly in British hands. Not only is the city important, but the Admiralty was also pleased to hear that our marines had destroyed numerous enemy planes on the ground.
- On the negative side, landings at Fox Bay have been completely cancelled since an enemy airstrike has annihilated more than half of Force T's ground forces. Therefore the only action in the southern half of the islands has been the securing of an airbase near Fox Bay, fierce bombardment by the HMS Sheffield, and the destruction of enemy fighters on the ground at an airbase off Gran Soledad.Attached Files

* Argentine Air Force reserve mirages strike back!!! the counterattack was a complete success
* British Royal Navy suffered heavy losses: 4 destroyers sank + 1 frigate + 4-5 transports + 1 nuke submarine
* Our pilots also shot down many sea harriers and the last vulcan bomber in the area.
* On the negative side, we couldn´t do anything to liberate San Carlos. Early reports inform that british army built strong defenses and it´d be really hard to counterattack. We must take defensive positions and wait...

I wish I could cheer, but this has just been another turn of brutal attrition.
- Fox Bay captured and expected to be held.
- Shot down all but one of the enemy squadrons around San Carlos, AGAIN!
- Shot down a Mirage way north of San Carlos and sank a sub north of Port Stanley.
You have to be a bit more conservative with your planes.Attached Files

mmm... do you want to go on?
I think that this is a stalemate...Attached Files

Well a stalemate would only mean that you'll win, since you have a country to build units and my forces are finite.

To be sincere, i built some extra exocets, submarines and mirages.
I think that i can´t solve that problem. I believe that the turning point was when i sank your carrier. With your entire task force you may have won the game.
Anyway, it´s your choice. If you want to go on trying... do it. I think that you won´t be able to capture Darwin, Fitz Roy and Port Stanley. mmm... maybe Darwin, but not all of them.
