          Back to topic.

          Hut/special finder program.

I propose that it be limited to use only during other's turns, not your own. Enforced by the honor system.

              Lol.

As for the vote I think it depends how long you consider acceptable for thinking about huts anyway. If you are going to spend a while working it out anyway, then banning the program is counterproductive. If you move quicker without it, then there is a strong case for banning it in duels.

I agree, and only would use it during other's turns anyway.

I try to always have my turn mapped out before I move anyway.

The stupid Oedo years problem I solved by copying and pasting it to a Word Document, which I open at the beginning of the game.

                  @ Spike

There did seem to be a conspiracy there, considering I was going to stop at 0200 for lack of alcohol, but Ming told me to look for more "rotgut".

I did, and now the rest is history. (including my alcohol supplies)

Well there are many viable strategies in all good MP games..........I guess convincing an opponent to make himself (more) drunk is one I should add to the list.

Yes, I think about, but as FF says, I always try to have my turn mapped out before it occurs. So, I'm more worried about other people than myself when it comes to that.
Granted, no matter how well you map your turn, popping a barb legion from a hut near you core cities may make you rethink the rest of your turn.

oh, and as for when to use the hut finder program, i also agree that it should only be used during others' turns (and put that stipulation in pending a persuasive arguement to the contrary).

further updates include additional reference threads and some formatting changes
