The Pope is shocked by the news that the Khwarezmian Empire follows Islam. Both the Christian experts on the Khwarezmian Empire* had assured him that said empire's religion was 'Khwarezmianism'. The Pope now doubts their assurances that the language spoken in the Empire is 'Khwarezmianistic' and that the Empire's capital is 'Khwarezmian City'.

The Pope wishes no harm to the Khwarezmian People,** and hopes that they will join the Christian crusade to liberate the fertile Middle East from the Islamic Empire. All that the stuff about the 'Holy Crusade' is just a cover story - the peasants love it.

Upon hearing about what happened to the civilian in Konya, Ala al-Din immediately sent emissaries to the Caliph Al-Nasir Yusuf in Baghdad to assure him of the Khwarezmian help against the infidels!

Not only an emissary was sent, but the invicible Khwarezmian hordes as well: the Christian cities of Tana and Vladimir were taken with only light casualties (on the Khwarezmian side ).

The Shah Ala al-Din calls upon the Sultan Mamhud of Dehli for help in the Jihad: weapons, troops or money will be welcome to fight against the pig-eating invaders!
