Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Russia is at war with Sweeden, (also I have no idea how it hapened. I was at peace with them when I left the game 2 turns ago, and now I am at war. Well, if I am at war I am going to make the best out of it). Almost all of the Russiam armies are being pulled to the North and Russia prepares itself for another Northern War. This time Russia's aim is not the acces to the Baltic, but Finland, and total crippling to the Sweedish empire.
War in the Caucus Mountains
Russian offensive took another city in the Caucuss, and almost all of the Turkish forces nearby were destroyed. Also a cossack rebelion near the black sea was put down by Russian armies.
War in the Balkhans
Russian forces reorganise and attack Turkish forces, without attacking the city. It is planed to capture Constantinopol in a very short amout of time.
Diplomacy.
With the French-English war over, Russia accepts the French proposal and a new defence pact is signed. Russia pulls it's forces towards Prussian and Austrian borders. Russia also makes a proposal for Prussia to enter its war with Sweeden. Prussia has easy access to southern Sweeden, and it should not be a problem to invade it there. Russia warns any other country not to declare war on Sweeden. It is a Russian-Sweedish war, and it will stay that way.
I know this game had many difficulties to start therefore I hate it to bring another one in but I've no other possibility, sorry.
A very very tragic event in his life forced Man-at-arms to temporary quit his position here. He asked me to do this announcement for him and that he is really sorry about his decision but at the moment he is not in the condition to play. But reading some of the other games we discovered that you are a nice community here and we think that also close friendships developed therefore he promised he will surely return one day and hope that he can be a member of this community. As he appreciated his stay here very much he asked me to state out his reasons so you will not be angry on him.
We thought that I may take over Spain (as they are more important for the game) and let Sweden be controlled by the AI this way we can continue the game.
What's your opinion on this?
PS: Man-at-arms sends all of you his greetings.
Thank you.

I sympathise with the problems you are all having getting started, and I hope you are now settling down to a successful game.
In answer to an earlier question on this thread, I designed the events file the way I did so that the AI would not cancel the Franco-Spanish alliance quickly, which it otherwise did. The events file also breaks the Franco-Spanish alliance at a 1:150 chance per move (so that it happens roughly once every two games) so that the alliance is not guaranteed for ever. In reality, Napoleon effectively broke it in 1808 by meddling in the Spanish Succession.
I would take Sweden, but like Case I am in an 8-game tournament at CFC, and I am also on a three-week holiday in a few days.
I'll check on how you're doing when I get back. Good luck!
Will do our best in helping you with swedish question. At this time, all uncommited forces will be redirected to foil their opportunistic plans in Norway as well as Kingdom of Denmark.
Gather back under the mighty banner of the Rodina the territories which have always been yours by right, namely Karelia and all of Bothnia in Finland.
For our part, we will reestablish prussian control over the german coast in the baltic.
Prussian Landwehr is raised in masses.

consider this post a *bump*, just to clarify my position:
I am moving on Sunday (from Canada back home to Luxembourg ) so I might be out of touch internet-wise for about a week, so I'd like to play my turn before sunday. Given the long rounds in this PBEM, one week of being out doesn't seem too much... Please comment.
