What do I need for MP?

I'm a quite good (not extraordinary) CIV-player, but I've never tried MP.
What do I need?
Which CIV-version with which patch? (Have Ultimate Class Collection - that's MGE).
Do I need additional other programs? I've heard about ICQ.
Please help.

You need to download the lastest patch or you will not be able to play anyone here. follow this link and you will get it.
