I'm waiting to see whether Deity till trade the pepper for the salt with Horse on July 20th or whether Deity will choose to go without salt for the sake of contrariness.

Well, with great respect to the people whom I otherwise adore, I have to concede that their handle on inspired architecture since circa the 17th Century has been on the tenuous side. Some of what you see over there these days brings tears to the eyes.

Due to a prior engagement in Las Vegas, I will be unable to attend your dinner. Please give my regards to the lovely hostess, and make sure no one urinates in the planter boxes.
(BTW, Hydey, that Mrs. Horse thumb thing was a good shot!)
Life and death is a grave matter;
all things pass quickly away.
Each of you must be completely alert;
never neglectful, never indulgent.

Oh I don't know - I think there are some genuine Tuscan influences here - the low red tile roof, the arches.
In fact I must get some photos of Tuscan villa's for the reno
I can say that you need to stand next to this place to appreciate just how f*cking massive it is - no cement or brick was spared. The gate you can see on the sides are 6 feet high.
There's even a spare pallete of brick around the back, which I presume was for the smokehouse and curing hams (these smokehouses are quite common down here).
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Aren't they for drying the stuff the cops grow down there?
BTW, did the builders incorporate any red, white and green into the colour scheme?

What do you weigh, Hydey? We just went out and bought 8 new dining chairs for July 20. Given that Horse is about 6'4" and 15 stone, I think we've catered for him. How about you?

The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits
Not really. Deity measured him last time, after one too many bourbons, at about 15 1/2 hands. About average for a neddy.

Jeez, Hydey, I thought you'd have learned by now. Wives know what you say and write about them. Even if they're a million miles away. Even with no internet access. It's one of those weird, weird things. They just know.
