I think my lawn might have scarab beetle too so I'm looking forward to getting an expert opinion.
My little bay tree seems to have been attacked by rust. I'm looking forward to an expert opinion, too.

This is kinda ignorant, seeing as i have never been to Aussie land but are your lawns on the browner side (burnt) or do you have plush green patches one could hit a tiny ball with a crooked stick with ?

According to Hydey, who should know, because he's a lawn technician, Horse's lawn is on the brown-ish side as a result of complete and utter neglect. Having learned this, Horse is now looking at his 10cm-high 15-year old son and wondering if it's never too late to provide food and water.
Hydey also diagnosed the problem with my bay tree for me. As I suspected, it's rust. I'd already smashed it with a sulphur-based spray. Now I have to wait for the new growth to establish itself before I remove the old, affected growth. If I remove the old, affected growth now, I will stress the tree.
Thank God for Hydey!

I thought you might. In fact, I did suggest same at the time. But then I'm famous for being a know-all. You were too busy snapping away to hear my suggestion.
