sounds good, but medium map?

thanks for linking me here, I'm definitely interested. haven't played for ages, and never in a dilp game, but that should be fine 6 pm GMT daylight saving would be 7 pm for me, just perfdt. I should have up to 4 hours each night, would that be enough?

i am in to. but if it is a random map, I would like to suggest:

wet, warm, 3 billion years,
archipelago
small landmass

And why no unit bribe? or no wonders? wonders make the game interesting, and unit bribe makes war interesting, with doubling up units.

I'm with Woke; the less things disallowed the better, except city bribe. Also (and remember I'm a diplogame virgin also ) shouldn't alliances be allowed in a diplogame?

Anyway I'm in at that time. 4 hours sounds about right.

And I wonder why you prefer warm instead of cool, my experience is that it gives to much swamp and cool gives VERY fertile land.

But if it is important to you I can use warm as setting in the game if the other players agree to it. But in such case I want you to give good arguments for it.

Id like to play, assuming there will be room. Id definetly be available for the whole game.

My preferences would be the same as Winzity posted with the following exceptions:

Varied Landform would be Continent
No Bribing would be Unit Bribing
No Wonders would be All Wonders Allowed
No Alliances would be All Alliances Allowed

Also wanted to note that I think cold, wet, and 3 billion give the best terrain, but thats just my opinion.

And I think that if we have more than 4 players, a medium map might be too small. Perhaps a custom map between medium and large could be made. Just a suggestion, no big deal. And it really depends on how many people who posted here will actually play

Map size depends on number of players

If 7 players are going to start in the game we will of course use a large map. Or somebody disagree with it?

We need at least to adjust the map size to number of players.

My 2 cents:

Cool not warm.
Unit bribe should be allowed.
Alliances should be allowed, otherwise what's the point of playing a diplogame?
Wonders should be allowed.
Large varied landmass on a large map should suit all.

Don't hold a spot but I don't work Friday so I'll probably be OK to play.... any settings are fine by me.
