      • Well this creates a few questions.

Who excactly are you surrendering to, Herr Case? You mention in your post that you still have what it takes to fight the Allies. If you are surrendering to me only, then things are obviously different. By surrendering, do you still want to play the game with the remainder of your nation? If not, then are the Soviets, Allies and French supposed to race to gobble up the remainder of Germany. This is of course only relavent if the Allies andFrench and everyone still want to play the game at all? Before I decide what to do, I'll need to know the German situation. Then we can all talk about whats happen with this game.

          • Well having talked it over with Anzac, it seems that the objective has been met. Germany has surrendered, and peace will now engulf Europe. Therefore I think we can call this one over. A well played game by all!

So let's all write reviews for the Sleague there, since I think this game is the first to end since St. Leo posted the request.

            • The Allies accept the surrender.

Also we are prepared to write a review and we suggest we unlock the saves so we can inspect each other's handy work.

                  • I have one question. How did the Soviet player manage to get such a large army so quickly. I tried rushing forces as best as I could, but I didn't get anything decent until mid 1941, and by then, the Germans had reinforced the east and soon launched their offensive, destroying all those nice shiny tanks.

                      • It was really quite easy Pinky:

On turn one I traded technologies with the French player to attain Mass Production. However, Mass Production is also the tech the Soviets are researching from the start. This means that I am then able, on turn 2, to begin researching the tech giving me T-34, Kv's 1 & 2 (Soviet Tanks I, I believe) whilst adding the research ammased toward Mass production to the tanks research.

I proceeded to rushbuild Munitions Plants or whatever comes from Mass Production in the Ural cities. This turned out to be unneeded as alot of my production ended up being from rushbuying anyway.

Then, I went through every single Soviet city and removed city workers and hired scientists. I also bought Laboratories in the Big 3 cities, and maybe amfew others, but on the whole I used mostly Einsteins. The Soviets huge population allows me to remove tons of workers, really boosting things up. With luxuries non-existant, taxes at their minimum, and science in full gear, I managed to reduce my turns per tech to about 4. You can even look at some of the early posts in this thread by me and note that I refer to a famine and starvation in my cities. They don't need food when all I need is science!

4 turns down the road, I get my tanks, BAM. Now its off to the races. I go in and change every sceintist to a tax collector, and set my tax rate to the max cash available. I earned in the order of 1,000-1,200 golds per turn, allowing me to rushbuy T-34's and Red Armies ad nauseam, all whilst at peace with everyone in the game.

A bit of diplomacy with the first Axis player granted me some breathing room, and he apparently moved his army in position to invade Spain. When I struck first in Rumania, I faced little opposition. Please also note that my initial target for the invasion was met, the Ploesti Oil Refinery. It is Hoover's Dam in the game, and being able to capture it so early in the game (December 1940) both greatly increased my natural production, as well as deny it to the Axis.

The one thing I did sacrifice in the initial invasions was airpower. I didnt have enough fighters, and Germany's bombers let me know that real quick like. I remidied that by taking away a bit form the T-34 production, but I was only loosing 6+ per turn. When I am making 15+ I dont mind those casualties.

                        -FMK.

And yes, feel free to download any and all of the saves here, the password as written above is 'SMERSH'.
