Civilization is a multiplayer game, once when you learn how to play.
      I won't even buy Civ3 w/o MP feature.

Thats what any true mp player will do smartfart.

Only the sellouts will buy an incomplete version. If this community wants to make a statement, none of us who play will buy civ 3 until it has mp features.

            I have to agree

            No MP, no civ-3.

A year or so down the road, they will probaly make the MP version, that will be worth getting.

I would like to take the high road and say, "NO MP, NO BUY CIVIII".

But I will probably weasel and buy it to learn all the tricks for kicking Ming's ass in MP when it finally comes out.

But I will probably only play it a few times until the MP version comes out.

The majority of my time will still be dedicated to CIV II MP.

I'll wait, there'll be plenty of high quality scenarios to pass in the meantime.

I'll buy it the first day it comes out... and I will play it a ton. I want to figure out all the new "cheats/bugs" so that we can point them out to the developers and try to get them fixed BEFORE they release the MP version...

However, I will still play the same ammount of CivII MP
                  Keep on Civin'

I should note there's an easy way past this moral dilemma of not buying Civ3 in the store. Buy a 2nd hand copy!

The problem is of course: "Why would someone sell his copy in the first place!?"

DL net version....play it....like it..... keep it until further news of civ3 MP is out...... if no MP version and i like the game i will buy a copy...... if i don't like it ..... i will delete it....i don't have room on my hard drive and i don't like to burn things for the sake of keeping a large collection of games.

I have purchased based on magazine and peer reviews.... it always comes back to bite me in the a$$.... in the range of $40- $65

I refuse to pay twice for a game which by todays standards should come with MP built internally

How a Company can be so vague is beyond me.... if there is no chance of MP then tell us...... if there is ....be more specific please.... why should you make money twice off of one game

All that said....i really hope civ3 rocks.... i have set aside$65 for a copy.....

Yes, but we've sold out all our lives, and thereby can afford to buy the game twice.

All joking aside, Ming does have a good point of finding out the flaws in hopes of getting them fixed prior to the MP release.

The ferrets are still alive and well playing CIV II MP. I was thinking of doing a new adventure in the OT for them but was trying to guage the interest level. Maybe Dolph and Vito should vacation in Afghanistan this winter.

Couldn't you do one in the Civ3 forum instead? I have this great idea for a SP vs. MP story:

                              Once upon time...

"The peaceful country of MorePoly was invaded by their rude neighbour SinglePlease! The whole thing started after a discussion in Mao's coffeeshop got out of hand. The MP'ers were be driven back at first, but they launched a devastating counter attack after internal bickering started within the great SP army about bugs, useless units, weak AI and worthless diplomacy.

                              SP leader:
"What !? They've launched a coordinated counterattack with air and land units, but that's impossible!!! "
