Slowwhand, Boann, and myself will play to win if you guys want a free-for-all.

If you want alliances before the game starts, then tuatha will ally, but be warned, they are part of my family, and I will not betray them, ever.

Whatever you guys decide is fine along those lines.

To whatever degree I have a say in this game yet, and assuming this is the No-Wonder (except for Space Flight) Game I wanted to get into, I have some suggestions.

When there is one major game change ("No-Wonder but SS" in this case), it is good to keep other changes to a minimum. After all, the focus in this one is the No-Wonder situation. I think we should try to avoid other complicating factors.

So:

No city or unit bribing
No city or unit trading
No caravan trading
No formal permanent ("strategic") alliances through the diplomacy options
No ship chaining

I have a question concerning nuclear power for SS. Doesn't that require the Manhattan Project? Or are we doing without fusion-powered SS? If so, will Nukes be forbidden as weapons? I hope so, but can go either way.

A last concern, since Chris mentioned he could not ever betray a fellow Tuathan...

I feel the same about my fellow OWL, Suas, in Tribe games, but we agree to suspend that in non-Tribe games or when formal teamwork is not part of the central structure of the game. I personally do not find it difficult to compartmentalize my loyalties from one situation to the other, but I am wondering if the same exists for you (very honorable I hasten to add) Tuathans.
I would be somewhat inclined to ally with Suas if he were a natural ally anyway, but I woud also be willing to try and kill him if my requirements demanded it. There is room between a "free-for-all" requirement and logical "in-game" cooperation between civs that meet by happenstance.

If an opportunity to cooperate with Boann or Slow or Chris's Civs, logically as the game presents itself, will that be likely, or will Tribe loyalty overcome this individual game?

I trust Tuathans more than any Tribe I know, but I thought I should raise this (slight) concern because of Chris's statement.

This was difficult to phrase. I didn't want to say too much, and I didn't want to say too little. My desire is for a good game, and I trust any game that Slowwhand and Boann are in...

It's to be a One Wonder, not No Wonder.

It can include space, or not.
If it is to include space, that will be an additional Wonder.

I also agree there should be no swapping or chaining.

As far as alliances, it would probably be best to not.

And Cavebear, I take your statement of trust as one of the greatest compliments possible.

Well, guess I wasn't clear enough. If we go no alliances, whatever tribe I play will play to win, against all comers, including Sloww and Bo, and they would happily reduce me to third world status in a heartbeat.

What I was referring to by no betrayal, is that if we had gone for pre-game alliances, we would have stuck together.

Since that's not the case here, I will ally as not with whomever suits the purpose of the civ I lead.

which wonder were you going to include if not space.... I was only interested in a space only wonder , no other wonders...

Due to the honourable make up of the players here, and due to the fact i think civ 2 is about allainces as much as any thing else, I find i can not continue with this game, i wouldnt want to see the Tribe members here all gang up on me jsut because i not part of their tribe in this non-tribe game. Thanks for letting us know to watch out for this in all games we play with your tribe involved

we do play a lot of games as indiviuals
if we say we will not ally and will play as individuals
you can belive that.

we enjoy very much playing as a tribe
but we go with whatever the game is set up like.
slow and i war against each other often
he enjoys whuping up on me whenever possible


you just let us know what kind of game you prefer and
im sure we can have a fun game with all involved

never say the per player part Sloww... wil lgo back and check that now, i have never been interested in a one per player one... its obvious cavebear got the same impression i di that it is a one wonder total game.

and as i said, i love alliances i feel they ar epart of the game, and as you say that if any alliances occur the Tribe will fight toghether there is no point playing in a game with three tribe members...

all my games do , but that is just me, and is another reason i am out of this one, sorry, but i ma sure you will get lots to replace me, have fun
