    Too many units in the game....

    Have you guys ever got this message ?
    I knew there was a limit on the number of cities.......
    but now I got the message that there are too many units in the game and I can't build any new ones !

    I was testing a large self made diplo-game map, and halfway the game I cheated to make the AI stronger.
    This resulted in 6 big empires. In fact a pretty cool game.

    But then I got that !@#$^D message !

    I killed two civilizations by deletions, but the message kept coming. (I guess the other big empires kept on building muuuuch units)

    I saw it once playing Red Front.MGE limit is 2048 in a game with 1948 for any one civ iirc.

      damn if you get that many troops time ti finsioh off the oposition...

      do people still play for the high scores,, i always find it too boring (without cheating) to get such a high score too many turns of doing nothing but waiting to get all future techs

        We're...err..you're almost there.Less than 400 left and you'll move up.I wonder if I can beat you.I only have to do 1>4 or 5.It'll be tight.


        Maybe there was some sort of mega multiplayer game going.I know some reached the city limit on a giga map.I wonder how long a turn takes in a MP game that has reached the unit limit.

          not sure what you mean there smassh you still got 400 to get to unit limit ???

          on gigamap game , in HOTW2 we havent yet encountered the max units yet, even though we have achieved the maximum city limit

                  I don't think a MP game would ever get this message, a good war or 2 soon gets rid of the excess units.

                    your right there hydey, and in MP a lot of people only build caravans so they keep needing to be replaced....

                      meanwhile it would take AH or Deity 2 1/2 hours to launch the war machine though from what i have heard about those aussie games
