    2001 Players Tourney, Round 1

    Round 1 is under way!

    Group A: Bravelaker (Host), Carnide, Cybershy, Maximus

    Group B: Markus (Host), Deity, Hydey, Makeo

    Group C: Hawkhunter (Host), Barbarian, Boann, Deity Dude

    Group D: Arii (Host), Berserker, Slowwhand, Zylka

    The settings will be King and 1x1x, no city or unit bribes, wandering barbs. A map to be used for this round has been sent to each host. Contact the host to arrange playing times.

                Thats not very nice calling Australia and the USA third world countries, I hope others living in the USA like Makeo , don't get too offended. I would host but coming from such a poor country I can only use my cable connection which could not be fast enough for a game of civ.

                I was expecting a rather fast game but after your earlier comments about slow players I fear a slower game now.

                  yes certain parts of this country have cable but you have to live in snobville to get it

                      i have seen diety take 45 minutes a turn at 800 ad on diety 1x 1x

                        Even with a far flung Civ that is excessive to me.
                        Strat was taking 20 minutes at 2750 B.C.
                        I was still a young man when we started the game.

                            hmmm last time i encountered some one that slow that early they were using the code generator to cheat.... not saying he is of course
