Firsrt and foremost i must give props to Kuja for sticking with a game that would have been over in many other eyes far earlier than his concession actually came.
Kuja proved to be a worthy adversary and i look forward to a match with him again. Had it been on his settings i never would have lasted as long
I had all the wonders but lighthouse and Leos....... there was no great wall and the only error he made was not taking SOL when he should have beaten me to it eons previously.
I had a 45-37 city lead and was getting techs every two turns @ 40% science. Making 210g a turn and had my cap protected so not even Zylka could find it
All in all it was a great 3 1/2 hour game and i look forward to another.........
phew ok , now i will go have a nervous breakdown...........
there wasn't much I could do that game.. since it was just 1x movement, and he found at least 2 advanced tribes in the opening 10 turns, i was down 5 cities to 1 to start. since he had such a giant city advantage, he could afford to build hanging gardens very early which was crucial on emperor setting. so the rest of the game i had to make up for the city disadvantage, all the while he was able to keep pace. i stuck around by stealing tech from him, and could have lasted a lot longer since i had leos and he had no way of attacking me since i controlled the seas, but there was no point in delaying the inevitable. he had a wonder lock- meaning whenever he learned a tech he had enough caravans to immediately produce the wonder. not only that, but like he said i made the biggest mistake by not getting SOL. i'm such a dumbass for not doing that, but oh well.. all in all he played a hard fought game and deserved the win. that was only my 3rd even 2x1x game and i'm starting to like them. so maybe once i ween off of the 2x movement i can work on weening myself off of the 2x production as well

I am not going to struggle against another civ that has built 2 citys and got another from a hut when my second settler is killed and the hut gave me a barb. End of the fun of the game. Never complained, just said the barbs got me and promptly retired never to play restricive settings again cause it introduces so much luck into the game and does not allow me to be as good as i am.
