Well last night broke all records for time spent setting up a game. I stayed out of it mostly and watched most of the Sopranos

Actually it was because of AH spitting the dummy and whinging over the firs tgame we started that we had to restart another one, that took a while to organise then Hydey crashed , then when we got it going I as a sub for Lowang discovere dthe worst setup civ ever, there were citys in desseerts , citys built with whales jsut one square from their radius so not able to use it but coulndt build a new city to utilise whale as it would be touching the firrst city, all citys had 4 or greater size ands all had at least 3 unhappy citizens, i had to put lux up to 40% , this reduced my income to zip, and science to 1048 turns per tech, changed governemnt 4 times to counter act this but to no avail , citys still unhappy, all citys had temples , coloseums and some cathedrals.. damn those citizens were still narky,

That's bullsh%t Raz. I went online at 9.30pm. I didn't get an IP till 10.45 I had made clear I didn't have strong preferences about what we played and spent most of the time watching The Soprano's. But when I saw the game chosen included a finbar civ I bailed at 10.50 after explaining why this was unacceptable. finbar is a core player, Deity knows that. Hardly a dummy spit. The game got underway at 11pm. In my book, that's a record. Watching the farting around was amazing.

Ahhhh... the famous Horse Tantrum! Horsesh%t they call it....

Doesn't get his own way after NOT participating in any discussion about game selection then just quits!

icq from deity to AH, Raz and Hydey at 9:51pm:
"If finbar doesn't show we have this one.
          Again, Raz could play Lowang.
          SIMUL_NO_FINBAR_HydAHLowDeity_a1818.net"

          No response from AH.

Raz and Hydey were cool with any game.

Since finbar hadn't shown we loaded ANOTHER game that was really a filler game expecting finbar to show any minute; so the one we picked was the 'islands' game I had suggested on icq at 10:02pm which had a finbar civ in it, in case he showed and he decided to hot join it.

          AH then said in response:
          "just start a game someone"

After not concentrating on any of the discussion about game choice AH decides to quit once we finally see the map! At last he wakes up and has something to say.....
          but not constructive.

So we all decide to quit out and see what the prima donna wants to do - he needs to get his own way you see

          AH to Hydey at 10:30pm:
"there's a deity hydey game, 1818ad, you got that hydey?"

          Well, derrrrrr AH....

So he gets the host to load up the game I'd originally suggested at 9:51pm!!!!!

Alexanders Horse, if you'd paid attention earlier and contributed to the discussion we may well have started that game in the first place! (Despite the fact it was hopeless for Raz and was really not suitable or fair to him as has been clearly demonstrated!)

It's very easy to distance yourself and watch the farting around that wouldn't have occurred if you'd been on the ball and not watched tele at the same time. Ya, bloody galah!

So, chucking a tantrum and using emotinal blackmail to play the game YOU want to play is NOT asserting oneself!!! HA HA

Another good session of the Berz, Hydey, finbar game. This game requires some application because Berz is clearly the dominant civ with doubly the cities of anyone else and is on the rampage against Hydey. finbar took on an Ai civ and has a lot of work to do. The Horse empire got a terrible start in a narrow elbow of land between Berz and an Ai civ, but we are making the best of things.

Honours in the last session go to Hydey who, in spite of the effects of alcohol managed to keep Berz in check for the whole session. It was quite an achievement in my book.

I would hate to ever play you guys sober Your kingchat about the bloody logies nearly made me puke last night.
Thankyou Berz for taking it very easy on me and not crushing my poor little civ.
