TOP STORY: Cesare Medici dies in Naples!
Naples - Cesare Medici died today of natural causes, it is said related to heart conditions during negotiations with Spain and France. Son of Dictator Medici, Lorenzo D' Medici was named the new Dictator and was subsequently crowned Impearator of the Italian States. Medici goes to the grave signing the treaty of Naples, which was the forerunner of the current alliance between Spain, France, Italy and England. Top officials say Lorenzo wishes to bring new reforms to Italy, including heavy militarization he says is needed "To ensure Italian supremecy over the next few years," obviously noting the heightened aggressions from the eastern alliance of Hungary and Germany.
Spain, England join Treaty of Naples, renamed Latin Alliance.
Paris, France - King Moker of Spain, King Bonaparte of France and Impearator Medici of Italy formally signed the Latin Alliance, which garuntees territory to western European nations. The pact was the continuation of the Treaty of Naples signed by the French and Spanish. The treaty signed in 1750, in the French city of Paris has been dubbed a mistake by some Italian statesmen, nameley Nicolo Machiavelli who said "This treaty is a huge mistake, not only has possible Italian expansion been severley limited, but it puts an aggressive intent upon the original treaty, other nations will view it with contempt, they will think we are ganging up on them, and it will result in the polarization of Europe." Machiavelli further notes the addition of England to the pact, which he says is directly related to the current aggression from Russia, Germany and Hungary. Impearator Medici claims that this treaty will garuntee Italian might for years to come.
Hungarian Troops Violate Italian territory!
Palermo - Soon after the signing of the Latin Alliance, Hungarian and German troops were quick to violate the territory of Italy, namley the cities of Venice and palmero, Italian General Giuseppe Garibaldi has been put in charge of the military aspects of the situation and from his statments seems to be heavily considering military action: "The Hungarians are not in their right to violate Italian domains, they have been asked by the house of Medici to leave our territory and head back east from whence they came, I am growing very impatient, and they will soon find standing between them and the skyline of beautiful Venice..." King Napoleon of France (who is of Italian decent) has made similar threats, stating that he will "Kill any German soldier still in French territory" without hesitation. Obvoiusly the situation must be remedied. Nicolo Machiavelli has made it quite clear that "The tension in this situation is a direct result of the Latin Alliance, as well as the addition of England into the pact" he goes on to say "This will undboubtedley bring about the polarization of Europe." only time shall tell.
Trade Road proposed by Spanish!
Barcelona, Spain - King Moker of Spain has proposed a trade road which would connect the nations of Spain, France and Italy, the road would not only be used for trade, but also for allocation of troops in war time. Italian statesmen had suggested that the capitals of Paris, Madrid and Rome be directly linked by the trade road. It is unclear at this time when the road will be completed, but Spain and Italy have already given men to aide in its construction.

Espiztio: Greetings King Moker
King Moker: Good morning Espiztio, what news do you bring to me.
Espiztio: Our people have begun to settle a majority of the iberian pennsula. we have ships in the medditerian and are planing a southern exploring party to sail south from our most southern port. we are no longer a small tribe of warriors, but are on our way to becoming a world power.
King Moker: Good good but what of our plan to inrease our food production, for without food our people will starve.
Espiztio:Work on our farms is slow at best my lord but our blacksmiths are hard at work constructing plows for our oxen to pull. we also have many men digging our irragation ditches but the work will take years to complete.
King Moker: Very good Espiztio, come sit down. Maria will you bring us some wine and some of our finest provalone.
Maria: Yes my lord. Did you want the aged wine or the new stock?
King Moker: Bring the adged wine Maria.
Maria: Yes my lord.
King Moker: So tell me Espiztio have you spoken with the diplomats of France and Italy?
Espiztio: Yes my lord. Word is that they are being encroched by the barbaric germanic tribes. we have reports of garisions of archers and mounted horsemen invading the lands of both of our allies. there is no word of an attack though.
King Moker:Sounds like we should prepare for war. How is the training of our men going?
Espiztio:Our men are doing well my lord. i myself have arrived with a unit of crack mounted archers.
*Maria pours King Moker a glass of wine*
King Moker: Thank you Maria
*Maria starts to pour Espiztio a glass of wine*
Espiztio: no thank you Maria. i must get back to my negotiations with France and Italy. but i will have some of that cheese.
King Moker: take as much as you would like Espiztio come back when have more news for me.
Espiztio: i will my lord, veni vedi vichy
King Moker: veni vedi vichy

Wow, 12000 b.c, I did not realize the Italians had time travel technology. Just kidding Capo. Anyways, on to my post.
Inside King Bonaparte's palace, in Paris, 1250 b.c.
At a meeting with the King's advisors.
Military Advisor Louis Gillard.
"Sire, these are difficult times from the French army. We are on the brink of a major war with the German and Hungarian nations, and the only thing we have to send off to the battlefields are a few young horsemen and peasants wielding dull pitch forks. I urge you to put forth more gold to military spending so we can actually back the threats we make towards the German and Hungarian phalanxes. France needs to make it's present felt sire, and the only way to do this is through the sword."
Science Advisor Jean Claude DePart
"Excellency, what Lord Gillard speaks of is true, the road to victory may be the sword, but the only way to sharpen that sword is through knowledge, and this sire is where our great nation lags behind. How are we to be successful in the world theatre if we are using rocks and clubs, while our enemies hurl arrows and build great walls to protect their people. If any gold is to put anywhere, it is into our Libraries and to thinkers like myself so that we can develop the technology which will then in return put our great army far above those that oppose us.
Trade Advisor Dr. Inks Alot
"Sire, I cannot think of any words kind enough to describe your genius decision to build a great trade route connecting the magnificent cities of Rome and Madrid to our glorious capital. This new road will increase trade between our great nations and provide further mobility to the great armies of France, Italy and Spain. Not that I am interested in that sort of thing.
Foreign Affairs Advisor Antuonette DePart
"Noble leader, I cannot stress this enough, but you must not give in to Hungarian demands. For a nation like France to survive, she must have complete sovereignty, something that the Hungarian government thinks it can take away from us. To back down now would give the Hungarians and Germans the right to assume that they can push France around whenever they feel the need. Despite, this minor conflict however, my lord, you have made most wise and intelligent decisions. Our alliances with Italy and Spain are as strong as ever, and now with England on our side, France as well as the other nations of western Europe stand a stride the world like a Colossus. Never shall an attack on France or any of her allies go unpunished."
Advisor of the people to the King, Elvis Presely.
"No complaints, noble leader." The people are happy and your name is chanted through out all of France.I didn't know it was a Penis when I bought it.

The Great German Empire, rivaled only by that of the Hungarians and Russians, has secured lands from the North Sea to the Bothnia. We are allied with our generous neighbors to the south and east in a great triad. We have discovered a belligerent group of ingrates to our west called the French who very early on begged for our code of laws in exchange for a piece of land (Holland) they didn't even own, only to be ordered about as if we were their servants. They have even threatened our cavalry for merely appearing near their cities
The Italians to our south are similarly paranoid about us paying a visit - strange given the warm welcome we were offered by the Hun and Rus. Nevertheless, we still hope to remain friends with these western peoples inspite of their antagonistic ways (psst... our diplomats says they dont even bathe, peeeuuuu). Anyhow,
we await the arrival of a sea-going people from the North Sea - English I believe they are called.
As the first session drew to a close, the people of Berlin were celebrating the completion of The Pyramids - the second wonder of the world. This amazing advancement in food storage will help our people in times of need and allow rapid development.
The great philosophers from the east - the Rus - are leading the way out of the darkness of ignorance and the Hun have built a Great Library to store the world's knowledge. All we hear from the west are complaints and threats - apparently talking is their only talent...

1250 B.C., Italian Royal Palce....
Paolo: Sire, Nicolo Machiavelli, governor of Milan wishes to speak with you, shall I send him away?
Medici: Ugh, Paolo send him in, I shall grant his audience.
Machiavelli: (entering the room) this is stupid your lordship, we are doing a very stupid thing, I advise against it!
Lorenzo: Please, Nicolo, calm down. What is this treasonous act you speak of?
Machiavelli: Sire, with all due respect to your late father, the Latin Alliance is a farce. Do you believe in your right mind that Spain and France would help Italy in time of need, pah! Italy could have owned all of Southern France were it not for this dreadful document. Now we have no room to expand what so ever! I must say sire, any logical man could determine this alliance worthless.
Lorenzo: Nicolo, you are out of your mind, this is the only way to protect us against the eastern pact, they are very strong and have plenty of land, we must bind together with our Latin allies. Now I do respect you, but I must say, your actions are abhoring.
Machiavelli: This is a disgrace to all Italians, the English have joined our alliance, we have no contact with the English, the easterners will see this pact as a threat sire, I am all-
Lorenzo: What of the Hungar archers in our land? The German troops at Napoli? Eh?
Machiavelli: Sire, seriously, do you actually believe they would willingly make war with Italy? There is no reason, we are creating a hostile environment, and as I was saying, I am against their prescence without a doubt, however I am not willing to spill Italian blood over it. The people have spoken to me and they say-
Lorenzo: Nicolo, the people know nothing of this conflict, the Latin Alliance shall be as constant as the stars and as strong as a mountain, we will-
Machiavelli: Pah! That is just talk, the people have spoken and they are the ones that will die, the Medici family will never be put on a battlefield, and their homes will never feel the wrath of Hungarian arrows, you are not worthy of your throne!
Lorenzo: Do not take such a tone with your King Machiavelli, I have read your books, they are appalling, surely you cannot suggest that men of such prestige as myself, Napoleon, even Arapod of Hungary use such vile means to consolidate their power. You are a heretic!
Machiavelli: You my friend are a tyrant, your family and mine go back, but your family used their success for power and control, you shall reap what you sow.
Lorenzo: Do not threaten the crown Nicolo, you have been warned.
Machiavelli: As have you sire, arivaderchi...."Our cause is in the hands of fate. We can not guarantee success. But we can do something better; we can deserve it." -John Adams

Assessment of Balkan question by Giuseppe Garibaldi, colonel of Italian troops stationed in Venice.
It is my understanding of the followings facts:
1- Hungar troops are in violation of Italian territory, whether or not they intend to attack, they have still encroached upon Italian territory.
2- Italian troops have on many occasions encroached upon the territory of Germany with little to no political consequence other than possible bad blood from German citizens, however that is merely speculation.
3- It is in the best interests of Italy and the "Eastern Coalition" to avoid any type of conflicts.
It is under these assumptions that I, Giuseppe Garibaldi, with an able mind, and with the word and faith of the Medici family, propose the following agreement to be known as the Palermo Compramise:
a. The single garrison of Hungarian archers is to be permitted access to all lands within the Italian domain at the signing of this agreement.
b. Hungary and Italy enter into a formal peace treaty accepting current borders and sovreignity of said nations.
c. At a later date, the Italian government may deem one single unit access to Hungary as the Italians would have granted to the single unit of Hungarian archers.
d. The Italians will aknowledge Hungarian control over the land of Hellas (Greece) and all susbsequent areas on the Balkan penninsula other than the north western quarter which shall be deemed Italian lands by both Germany and Hungary.
e. Upon further reflection Italy and Hungary can and may come to changes upon section d.
Personally, as a military man I see no need for a fight here, and believe that this entire conflict is related to the Latin Alliance, which I deem belligerent in nature and a problem for Italy. I suggest to King Lorenzo D' Medici the withdrawl of Italy from said pact, as nations they have not agreed upon have joined and are considering themselves part of said alliance, therefore the very nature and foundation upon the alliance has been compramised, I believe Italy should claim full neutrality, however this is merely the commentary of Giuseppe Garibaldi and not that of official Italian policy.
I, Colenel Giuseppe Garibaldi plead with the nations of Europe and the Latin Alliance to end such a foolish conflict or I shall further lobby his lordship Medici to withdrawl our nation from such alliance.
That is all.

Hi guys.
My Army weekend for October is going to be this weekend, we're going to be learning about Counter-terrorism Analysis, which should be fun.
Well, anyway I probably won't be home until 6 or 630EST (it might be a little earlier, but I won't know until Sat). So, if we could play later on Sunday, Sat evening or possibly on Columbus Day/Yom Kippur. If this isn't good for everybody, just have the AI run England for me.

(This is my last post this week guys, I promise, and I am not showing up for work on Sunday without calling in or anything for this next session, so gimme fifty gold uh... England, its your turn to pay the piper!)
Outside of Mayor's Palace, Venice Italy...
Citizen: I can't believe the Hungarians, they are evil, they just want land, land land land.
Citizen: What are you talking about, what have they done to you!?
Citizen: Vito, you traitor! Traitor!
Citizen: Shut up Geo, look, here comes the Mayor...
Machiavelli: (stepping onto his balcony) People of Venice, I am your Mayor Nicolo Machiavelli. It has come to my attention that there is great concern over the Hungar soldiers outside of our fair city, granted these fears may not be without merit. However, the fears of Hungarian arrows raining down upon our fair city are just as fanicful and likley as an attack from a Dragon, or of one of our Merchant Vessels being attacked by a Sea Monster. While you may have a right to fear the gaping mouth of a dragon, or the stinging tentacles of a sea monster, as they would no doubt cause harm, the likleyhood of it happening is such that it is almost idiotic to believe they will happen. Therefore fair citizenry of Venice, I ask that you sleap well tonight, the Hungarians shall not attack you! It has come to my attention though, that a great deal of you believe me a traitor for speaking out against the Latin Alliance, and while it may be a great boost for our nation and its power it has been key in destroying the very thing it was created for in the first place. Cesare Medici, rest his soul, signed the alliance in order to prolong Italian strength, and to secure the lands that Italy would be alloted, however in doing so he has not only retarded our expansion, but has also negated any sovreignity the crown of Italy once held. We cannot move without Spain or France speaking about it, we cannot make a decision without Spain or France lending credence to it, we are at the mercy of our allies just as they are of us. That my friends is not sovreignity that is dependance. I do not make these remarks with complete ignorance of the Eastern Pact, on the contrary, they too have succumbed to the vile stench of pride, arrogance and bigotry. Take the recent German release, in which they revert to name calling... the Italians do not shower say the German lords (rise from the crowd), no talents other than the words from our mouths say the German lords (some one yells DEATH TO GERMANY!), they claim that they are superior to us, for they have erected massive monuments called Pyramids. However great citiens of Venice, I say this: If Germany finds pride in the enslavment of people for the construction of a monument to the leader, who gained his power through brute strenghth and savagrey, then let them find pride in such trivial a matter. But I believe they are errenous when they compare their pathetic pile of stones to the great Library of the Hungarians, who have collected the intellectual teachings of the world, including some of my works which have gained the ridicule of the Monarchs of Europe. Germany is a paradox though, they are a great people, and even if the Pyramids were constructed with the whip and the chain, it is still a testament to humanity. Germany on one hand can be so intelligent, create such amazing constructions, be such a glorious nation, yet in spite of this must revert to childish name calling in order to continue their air of supremacy, this my friends is the very essence of pathetic. I urge the Germany citizenry to remove Bezerker from their throne, as he is their future's end. And as for Hungary, what can I say of Hungary. I have yet to speak with Arapod, and as the Mayor of Venice, the city his soldiers are encroaching on, I should have done so. In talks with Lorenzo D' Medici, our king, he has been very civilized while our king has been much less civilized than a German lord! The French, have been very belligerent, and the Spanish generally keep quiet, this conflict will not lead to war, if Italy goes to war over such a matter, I am hereby edicting no Venician to enlist in the Italian army, those who do will suffer a year imprisonment, I see no need to kill the children of our hard working mothers for some king in Rome! And-
Giuseppe Garibaldi: Nicolo! You are under arrest by order of his majesty D' Medici, for heresy against the crown of Italy.
Machiavelli: On what grounds!
Giuseppe Garibaldi: Your words will inevitably incite riots accross the entire penninsula, the king has had enough, you have disrespected his majesty on numerous occasions, and have went against official Italian policy. (Ordering troops to tie Machiavelli's arms together) the sentance ordered thus far is one month torture to cleanse your impure thoughts, and then a merfciful death.
Machivelli: What are you- (soldier punches him in the face)
Giuseppe Garibaldi: Lord Geovanni Pedretti shall serve as your new mayor, please return to your homes there is nothing further to see. I advise everyone to stay in their homes for the next eight days, until we resolve the situation of the dirty heathen Hungars! GO NOW!
(people exit)
Machiavelli: Giuseppe, how could you do this?
Giuseppe Garibaldi: It is not me Nico, I am doing my job. (he leaves...)"Our cause is in the hands of fate. We can not guarantee success. But we can do something better; we can deserve it." -John Adams

Yeah, talking about the French huh! It seems the Germans easily forget their own statements, must make it difficult for the Russians and Hungars to deal with....
