Count me in. Tryed this simultaneous thing and it works great. It's like 3 * faster than regular civ.

When you save and reload the game it keeps the "real time" option

When a unit moves it creates a ZOC for all the spaces it moved and another unit can't move into it. (or something along those lines) You had better be fast when attacking, i think the attack stats are slightly modified as well.

There are 2 parts to the turn, the get new tech, and build all your city improvements parts, Then when everyone is done that it allows everyone to move units. when you get a hut from a unit you can't move it till the next turn. Thats all i can remember off the top of my head. It works great

It must be a real time saver... were there any problems? Was it better? Man, anything you guys can add would help. I didn't think anything could get me more excited about civ... this could be it

Units out of huts can't be moved until the next turn. The computer doesn't recognize that they're there or something. Also an annoying pop-up screen keeps coming up saying waiting for other players to finish their turns. And according to deviousgnome who I was playing he said that the lag was worse. Maybe this is cool in a very large multiplayer game but 1 on 1 I don't see the advantages.

That makes sense. You *shouldn't* be able to move a unit that you didn't have at the start of the turn if this new format. But what I meant was, how does the computer decide which civ gets the hut contents if 2 civs move a unit to the hut on the same turn? Do they fight a battle and the winner gets the hut?

Wow that had to have been one of the funnest civ games ever!!! i had built hoovers damn and carnide comes storming in with iron clads and dragoons, i was building up some destroyers for an impending attack but it was too late.

Its a pitty that we havent found out about the simultaneous civ before.

It was being tried in the MSN zone. Opinion there seemed to have been more negative about the option. Certainly there is some reaosn why they didn't include this option. Either way, i can't wait to try it out, how exactly do i get the option to show up?

You should try to deliberately set up some movement and city-building conflicts to see what happens. What if you both tried to build cities 1 square apart? Or violated ZOC? Or both landed on the same hut?
