  • Time Confusion

I think we all need to start using GMT time references.
It's bad enough, usually, trying to keep track of local time zone names and meanings, but it is just impossible during daylight saving time, which is used in some places and not in others! Worse, some people refer to Standard time Time in areas that use Daylight Saving Time.

One never knows exactly what everyone else means.

    I'm at fault, too.

Thoughts? No where is it as important as in this Multiplaying forum...

Some time ago Kengel sent me this link as I was one of those calling my time zone PST when in fact at that season it was PDT. It was very helpful and has been re posted under helpfull links a few threads down...

The times in the Apolyton forum are given in EDT (Eastern Daylight Time). To get familiar with the world time zones, have a look here: http://www.timeanddate.com/time

Yeah, you're right, Cavebear. We should either use GMT or the time Apolyton uses. I, too, am guilty of saying CST when I mean CDT, but I usually know what I mean by that.

I don't normally switch to daylight savings time when others do; I prefer the night anyway.
