If you guys ever need a sub, please keep me in mind. I'm really interested in the whole diplo-game concept. I'm usually available Sundays if anyone can't make it. Not much multi-player experience though...
The mighty Aztec Empire will continue it's expansion, and has colonized several islands so far. The Royal Axtec Navy is venturing far and trade has flourished with the Germans and the Japanese, navagation, soon to be discovered, will open the rest of the world to Aztec greatness. Allies will be rewarded and treachery crushed ruthlessly. The Royal Aztec Republic will continue to flourish.
The goddesss Empress is pleased to report that the land of Lorien is now a full Republic. However, there have been mixed results. While production has increased and the rate of science research has increased, the people seem to have grown weary of thier toils and a plauge of unhappiness is sweeping the once happy land. However, upon the installment of entertainers and with more money directed at luxeries, the land of Lorien is content once again. Three new cities have been founded and roads to connect them to the rest of the road system is underway. Overall the land is prosperous.. only the Empress in her isolation still seeks an ally...

The English continued their vetures into the unknown last session. An expedition was sent to the southern island and they confirmed the navy's rumors of civilization. Although the settlements were small and primative in comparison to the English settlements the natives none the less were friendly and shared their unqiue perspective on technology in exchange some English advances. Seeing no need to provoke the natives, England signed a treaty of peace with the natives and reconized their two small islands as theirs for eternity. The natives told us of a larger, Roman civilization and gave us crude maps that indicated that their homeland lay somewhere to the west on one of two medium sized continents, however so far the English navy have only been able to confirm one small island to the west, which has been settled in the name of his Majesty Sir Francis Madison Johnson, Knight of the Desert and King of the Great Continent. When last reports came from the capitan of the royal navy, reports were coming in of a new island off the north coast to be slated for immediate settlement upon exploration with approval from the parlament.
The humble Sioux continue to scrape out a foothold in this difficult world. We have had to venture into the inhospitable sea in order to find more land to add to our meager holdings. In our travels we have met with the mighty Romans, a noble if not somewhat isolationist people and the sea-faring peoples of the English nation, who have been, as are the Romans, willing to share technology, maps and civilized concepts of diplomacy and territory establishment. We look forward to aiding other greater civilizations in whatever way we can, be it through trade or martial vigilance. We only worry that our neighbors to the north and east will expand too much and take what little frontier we have at our disposal. News of vast and mighty empires in other parts of the globe have Sioux medicine men consulting the entrails of chickens in an attempt to foresee the future.

The Sioux people have spoken. Their nation is small and scattered, their cities unhappy. Chief Running Mouth did his best to create a simple and happy land for his people, but they demand more trade, military and population. His pastoral vision is not enough for them. The young people talk of 'spaceships', something he knows nothing about. In light of this, and being a good and kind leader, Running Mouth has chosen a replacement, CaveBear, to take the reins of leadership and lead the Sioux into a modern prosperity.
Running Mouth will go away and consult the spririts of his ancestors on the Big Hole river for a time. Whether he returns to take back the leadership of his people, or decides that CaveBear is his better, remains to be seen. In the meantime, his successor has been directed to honor all past treaties and boundaries, and to bring the Sioux to a new era of might and honor.
May he lead well.

Honored with entreaties and sacrifices, the Cavebear-Spirit has taken on mortal form to once again succor his chosen People.
He has heard the advice of the Peoples' Leader, Running Mouth, and learned of the alliances and trading routes of the present generation of the Sioux. All will be honored while Running Mouth seeks wisdom and enlightenment in Far Lands...
The Cavebear-Spirit wonders, though, at what plane of existance he should contact the other Masters of the World for this challenge Sunday at 4 pm Eastern Time.
