Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
You mean Civ 1? The predecessor of Civ 2? No. It didn't have the software to allow multiplaying.

Actually, there was a program called CivNet, which was a multiplayer version of Civ 1. I never owned it, so anything I know about it is second-hand. I've heard reports of most games devolving into knight rushes.

yeah thats it my friend said it was called civ net any idea where i can get this?thanks for your help guys
Civnet was not a patch, but a sequel. There is no way to patch Civ1 to play multi. Also, if you do manage to find Civnet in the bargain bin (or on a warez site) you won't be able to play against Civ2 players. They are different games.
I can't think of any reason to buy this game, even for real cheap, there would be no one to play it with. Hell, even when it first came out, there was no one to play it with.
End of post: Boring drivel and braggadocio follows.
I bought it when it first came out because a friend and I both obsessed over Civ1, and we could both easily beat the computer; so we got Civnet to bring a challenge back to the game. We played one game, and all of a sudden he had "more important things to do." Guess who won?

You know you can pick up a copy of multiplayer civ2 for $20 US or less?

Or you can get someone to burn it for you for only a few dolars

Or you can pick it out of someones garbage can during spring cleaning.
P.S. I didn't actually do this but a friend found 3 unopened copies of Win 98 SE with serials in a school dumpster.
