I can take it down if you like.

I checked everyone's maps, it looked to me like everyone had traded maps liberally and there was no information that wasn't universally known it seemed. Everyone seemed to have pretty much the same maps.

      Ehrrmm...

I would too be obliged if my I get to choose myself who to trust my position to. I have been quite carefull about it, and turned down quite a few requests in-game from various players.

If you could refrain from this in the future, then

[edit] Allthough the maps might look similar for most players, I'm sure they all have their differences. Or my maps get traded around without me knowing. I would then rather live with the phantom idea I have 'classified' info, rather then being certain my positions have been revealed publicly. [/edit]

Not all of the map/city's were known to everyone and some people have stopped trading maps. With posting this you have changed the game.

It seems a bit intrusive on a game you're not playing in.

But please let it up, I have seen it so the other players should too.

          Ozzy:

I agree with atawa, put it back up since he and I allready have seen it.

I appriciate your efforts, and I am flattered by the interest you, and perhaps others, have in the game.
I'm new to MP, and have screwed up badly in game in various instances (not knowing alliances reveal my techs etc) and with map exchanges as well. Hell, my maps often got traded on before I could even mention they should be kept from other players

Map making is fun, so I can understand your eagerness. Maybe next time you could make a map with knowledge that is known to all players for certain?
That would require much more work, for sure, but it could add to the atmosphere in the thread.

720AD, citizens of Atjeh revolt against Maori occupation!!!

It was 720AD when the citizens of the NW bordercity of Atjeh revolted against Maori occupation.

Warlord Withawhiti conspired with a band of barbarian pirates to drive the Maori forces from the island of Sumatra. After negotiations there was a formal treaty signed in witch both sides agreed on the following terms:

1,Athje will have full selfrule over all of Sumatra.

2, Although there is domestic selfrule the Atjeh province remains a part of the Maori nation.

3, Atjeh will provide warriors to serve in the Maori army for witch they will receive compensation.

We pity our friends the Slaven, as an aid to their expansion efforts we'll grant them the island east of the Ethiopian subcontinent and the armed forces stationed there.

I'm sure our mutual friends the Ethiopians wont mind

And so, at the closing of the session, an unfortunate accident happened in the Red Sea... Slaven stubbornness to sign any cease-fire caused a Frysian ship to overrun a Slav trireme... No warning of the ships being on a collision course was given, and so the Slav sailors found a shallow grave...

Official comunique of the Frysian Navy:

In the year 880 of our Lord, a tragic accident happened in the Red Sea. A Frysian caraval overran a Slav Trireme. Due to the persistant Slav refusal to come to any sort of agreement with the Frysians since the long forgotten war a few millenia ago, no communication of any sort could ever be established between Slav and Frysk units.

So transpired in this case: the Frysian vessel was sailing in the Red Sea, when the Captain saw a terrible accident happen. As one would expect when dealing with civilized nations, a message would have been send that staying on this course would lead to the distruction of any of the two vessels involved, but as we stated before, such protocols were not established with the Slav, since they refuse to speak to us for milennia now.

The cowardly Slav administration immedidiately tried to exploit this unfortunate accident, as the following transcript of the international King Chat will tell the world:
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): OOPS, sorry about that!
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): what was THAT????????????
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): what happened?
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): later
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): A Slav trireme carrying two caravans was attacked and sunk off the coast of Ethiopia. The red sea is indeed red with Slav blood. This amounts to 140 shields and more than 300 gold loss in caravans. We ask the world to condemn this.
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): We ask the world, to take action.
From Consul atawa (A.D. 880): was the caravel on automove?
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): yeah right! mr micromanager and automove, very funny
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): Ehrmm, could winzity rename his autosave? There were no cara's aboard that ship.
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): so an empty ship?
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): i'm really sorry Slaven, but if you would have allowed for at least a cease-fire, I would have gottena warning box pop ;rolleyes"
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): An empty ship????? He killed my peoples and you are discussing how many?? O tempora, o mores!
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): LOL
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): We have to determine all facts
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): Frysians are obviousely the most warmongering nation on the planet.
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): wINZITY, CAN YOU RENAME THE AUTOSAVE, SO IT CAN BE STORED?
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): Peace with them would be puting a knife in our back ourselves.
From Consul atawa (A.D. 880): I renamed my auto
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): (SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS)
From Consul atawa (A.D. 880): lol
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): that should do it
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): what is it with autosave?
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): I'll also rename mine
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): tHANKS, ATATW
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): that should do what??
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): Slavs are terribly dissapointed by the reaction of the world
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): OK, now that my turn has passed, I can tell you that I accidently sunk a Slaven Trireme in the red sea. I did NOT get a box saying "x units lost".
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): We didnt expect the united nations to rally and crush the Frysians (not that we would mind)m but at least a CONDEMNATION!!
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): Verify the losses Slavs have suffered at the hands of Frysians and decide on the course of actions accordingly
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): It might have been empty, I am not sure
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): but it still represented 100% of my navy. What am I supposed to do now?
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): Then, include the ship in the war damage
From Consul Saddam Hussein (A.D. 880): you can always get compensations from Fryslan when the war ends
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): I am sure Ethiopian is meaning well, but he is talking gibberish. Is this now accepted mode of behaviour in world relations? Slavs want to know?
To Consul Slaven, Consul Saddam Hussein, Consul atawa, Consul winzity (A.D. 880): Oh come on! You're not going to let me pay the rediculous demands that were put on us a millenium ago?
From Consul Slaven (A.D. 880): btw folks, great session but I have to go
The Frysian Navy denies firmly that any losses were inflicted to the Slav, except for the trireme. With autosaves stored by several players, an impartial party could easyly determine if Slav Cara's were aboard the vessel, as the whining Slav claim.

Frysian High Naval Command denies any responsibility for the accident, as it has been the Slav continuous refusal to establish even the weakest of ties between our nations (and the other nations of this world can attest to this, as we tried again this session) and so every opportunaty to get a general warning was thwarted by the Slav themselves. We would have gladly compensated the slav for their lost vessel, but the attempt to make a buck out of this accident has angered the Frysian parliament. NO compensation whatsoever will be given to the Slav, for a accident that could have been easily avoided.

At least the world has gotten a view on the lies the Slav spread to blacken the reputation of the honourable Frysk.
