Not seeds, a seedling. If you're not coming up this way soon, we'll have to organise our trip down there.

My plan is to keep the seedling in the house in a sunny spot until the frosts are definitely not an issue. Will that work?

I think I'll put Mrs Horse in charge because she's better with plants than me, having grown up on a farm

Any chance of like 3 seedlings? I want to improve our odds

The weather down here is unpredictable this year.

In terms of a visit, Floriade starts this weekend and our garden is coming into blossom right now.

When do the frosts finish? It shouldn't stay in its container forever. Remember you can always cover the plant in the garden - with a tented towel or blanket, or upturned bucket, whatever - to protect it from frost. This variety - Stupice - doesn't mind cold weather.

I've only got one Stupice - the early variety - but I've got half a dozen other varieties at seedling stage. They will take longer to produce tommys - up to 90 days. You can have a couple of them too.
