Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I can see doing it in a 1x production game in your cap before it switches to size two so you can save the food... but I like having the archer in our games... especially when that enemy horsy end's it turn next to your city
I played a 1x1x game earlier in the week... those early turns go fast because it takes so long for anything to happen. Getting that third city down before your opponent is HUGE. Disbanding an archer works... I won't disband a horsey or chariot... too many huts to find
In our games, at 2x pro, we learn to defend or die.
In 1x... It was tough defending your cities properly and still expand like crazy... I think I will stick to 2x pro in the future. I know I've played 1,000's of games in 1x time mode, but it against the AI, it goes quick. Against other players, it just seemed boring. When people quit for the night, we hadn't really gotten anywhere... sigh.
In 1x games, I have disbanded archers a few times. It's easier to consider when it's an attached archer. It's harder for me to disband any none-unit.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

The former. The latter is minutiae that's of no interest to me.

My point exactly. I play for the fun of it, for the interaction via KC, and because I work all day and every day - and sometimes all night - at my computer and Civ is a rare opportunity actually to use the machine without hating it.
