    • I've got folders full of the different patterns. Thank god for hut finder. It saves a ton of time, and is easier to use after a few beers

          • During a duel last night, I informally kept track of the number of times I used it over the course of the evening. It added no more than 2 minutes over the course of the game for me. I don't think it makes much difference. We played for about 4 hours.

              • Tonight over about 6 hours of game it probably didn't take longer that 3 minutes. I don't really see this slowing down the game much.

                • I would agree... it probably was faster for me tonight, because I barely looked at it. Graph paper would have taken much longer

                  • Is he talking about hutfinder or the new settler thing?

                    • I was talking about the settlers, I think ming was talking about hutfinder.

                      • It looks like Ming thought you were talking about the hutfinder as well.

Seriously I can't see how the settler (or hutfinder for that matter ) thing would add very much time to turns, and allowing it would be more consistent with your other rules IMO.

                        • Yeah... I had a senior moment and thought it was about hut finder again... sigh...

But I do see the settler thing adding time... having to both release them, and then set them on their task again the next turn... every little bit hurts.

                          • How many times did you use it last night?

Since I was using settlers in pairs already, I didn't even use it that much. Maybe a dozen times. Shorter than you delivering a few caravans.

                            • Well... last night didn't go long, so not a lot of improvements. But I did try it when building a road through a mountain square. (I've never done it before, but wanted to see it)...

                              • How do you want to forbid it?
If you forbid it then Settler preworking must be forbidden too. So a Settler in danger with cumulated work can't flee?
